i have a 2003 banshee with toomey T6 pipes. i am installing some boyseen pro series reeds and i know i am going to have to rejet.i have 280's in it right now. i have no idea what to jet to. can anyone help.

yes youll definetely need to go bigger. did you just get reed petals or is this a whole reed block? if its just petals id say try some 300s to be safe. you are gonna get better air flow just not as good as if you had the whole aftermarket reed block. if you got a reed block id say somewhere arouns 320 for a start. those would be pretty good estimates for 1000 feet above sea level anyway.

I'd run it w/ the mains you have now and do a plug test. If anything you might have to lean the needle one notch. Usually the reeds will make the shee run richer on the needle circuit.

I was gonna say the same thing...I just put some Boyeson pro series carbon reeds in my shee last weekend and I ended up dropping the main jet one size and am gonna mess with the needle this weekend. Even the paperwork that came with the reeds said that it makes your engine run a little rich and you might need to drop mains 1-2 sizes depending on your setup.
