stclark04 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 meat heads skills are unreal, i just bought a polished clutch cover from him. it looks like chrome.. Quote
NugShee Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 If you have patience you can do it with great success. take your time and it will come out just like chrome. I have done lots of mine and am getting ready to do the hardest part, the carbs. With the carbs I have to make my own felt bobs to get into the tiny areas. I cant find any small enough around here or on the net. meathead did a great tutorial but I think all the pictures are gone now. If you have any questions at all just ask and Im sure many of us would be happy to help you out. Good luck. Quote
AZ DESERT RACER Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I know acetone works for polishing. I polished my clutch cover but can't remember what type of scraper i used, maybe a soft wire brush or steel wool Quote

NugShee Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 so lets see how many polishable things on the shee can you come up with. I know the basics but some of the parts may be steel and cant be polished. I didnt think the kickstarter could be polished. Quote
