i have played about three years and the way i learned was on an acoustic. i feel that its better as you will be kickass on an electric when you get one. acoustics are harder at first, but teach you how to play correctly. if you would start on an electric, you might still sound like shit on an acoustic. either way, just keep at it and play what you like!

or the cable could be hung up somewhere. if the left carb slide is higher than the left than that will cause it to idle fast though, so adjust that cable so the slide bottoms out

here in nv it is illegal to ride withing 100 yards of a residence or roadway. i didnt know this and was riding slowly through a ditch and got pulled over. it was a few years ago, and i think the fine was about $150 or so. i truthfully didnt know that you couldnt do it, as i had moved from iowa about six months before, but the cop didnt buy it... i never ride around my house anymore

i was just wondering what makes them a girl bike. i know the 883 sucks, but i figured that with the new RUBBER mounted engine, the 1200 may be a pretty nice bike. I know they were not meant to ride across the country like the bigger bikes, but i have a feeling he wont be doing much cross country riding. a couple of hundred miles a day maybe? i did forget he was a big guy though, im sure my 150 pound ass would be a lot better on a sportster than him..
