trail rider Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 Does anyone here have any idea of what kind of atv this is? http://www.pier19imports.com/motorized/ATV-10.html I stopped at this pier 19 store the other day and saw this thing. It has a 250cc 4 stroke inline twin with dual headers and sliencers, but a single carb. It has a wierd ass swingarm and the sprocket is in the middle of the axle. The chain runs from the front sprocket to another sprocket right behind where the engine sits. I sit on it and it felt like it had a very high seat height, and the handle bars were way to high, which made it feel very weird and tippy. The seat was also small and hard and the suspension was very stiff. I asked a guy who worked there how much they were selling them for and he said around $2400. I forgot to ask him though who makes it and if you can get parts for it. so anybody have any idea? Quote
ledofthezep Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 Looks like a bastardized blaster,...nothing I'd want to mess with. May even be some sort of scam. Quote
MotulMonsta Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 Kasea or some kind of budget import from africa. There are a lot of mini manufacturures and they make cheapo atvs. Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 If its a Kasea, you can probably bank on it falling apart about a week after you start riding it. I think its a Korean ATV, but thats about all I know. I'm sort of surprised to hear about a $2400 price tag...makes me thing its something a little higher up than a Kasea. Quote
trail rider Posted August 20, 2004 Author Report Posted August 20, 2004 no, its not a kasea. The store has like 4 or 5 of them and I asked the sales guy yesterday and he said he "thinks" yamoto makes them and honda makes the engine. But I went to their website and didn't find anything like it. I've looked all over the damn internet and haven't found anything that looks like it. I'm just gonna go test ride the bitch and see how it really is. Quote
QuAdRaCeR^775 Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 Wow looks gay and if I seen someone on it I would tell them how black they are. Quote

BansheeJerry Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 Probably not a twin cylinder either. It just has 2 exhaust valves and a pipe for each. I wouldnt fu(k with it myself. Buyer beware..... Quote
PyRo_ZaCh Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 what ever it is, if its this hard to find out, good luck gettin parts for it. Quote
brock_fuzzy_69 Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 looks liek a kasea skyhawk the motor is a 250cc honda from the bikes they call a rebel or a 250 nighthawk it based on a blaster there was an article on them once i guess some guy runs ina pro class with one or at least used to lol Quote
FireHead Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 It's not a Kasea. Kasea's actually aren't the worst things in the world. However I believe this is a Kymco which is made in Taiwan. All of the parts are original to Kymco. None of which are very good. I would suspect this would be a good quad for a younger child. Quote
philshee Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 It's a throw away, you just ride it until it quits , then walk away from it. Quote

Buyer beware..... No, its a twin, you just cant tell from the pic. Why else would it have 2 spark plugs on each side? Oh yea, I found another link this morning. Its the first one on the page, the Denali 250. It has the exact same motor and frame as the blue one. So whoever makes it really likes to imbreed http://www.patclarkmotorsport.com/atv/atv1.htm Quote
