Don't know about the best but alot of tires woork good on different tracks.Pro Wedge 2,Are realy good,Cut turf tamers,Titan Trail Claws 2,Some Ohtsu, and dunlops work pretty good to.

The most popular around here would be the Pro Wedges,And Groved Turf tamers.Hope that'll help you a bit.

ProWedge 2's kickass...especially in dirt that has been

softened up by a lot of drag start action. If you don't get

the holeshot with the prowedge2's, your problem is not

the tire.

The best tire by far on the dirt is the ohtsu pro-wedge 2's They hook just the right amount coming out of the hole and stretch out to gear up your bike with rpm...They hook like no other tire for dirt drags.

I am now running a 565 10mm stroker on alky and they still get me down the track the fastest of any tire, and im running 140 hp.

The tires of choice for dirt drags are as mentioned before -- Pro Wedge II's, Grooved Turf Tamers, Ohtsu radials (400EX OEM tires), and the Dunlop radials (Raptor OEM tire). Whitch tire is the best depends on the track you are competing on. You will have to experiment with different tires to find the one that works best for you.

I run Turf Tamers now and they seem pretty good but what do you guys mean by "grooved " ??

Grooving a tire means to literally cut grooves into the tread to make the tire bite better for a given terrain. It also applies to knobby tires when certain knobs are removed to alter the knob pattern. A typical groove pattern on a turf tamer tire is to cut two knobs on the outside shoulder, leave three knobs, then cut off the remaining two. On the next row, leave three, cut two, then leave the final three. Then repeat that pattern all the way around the tire. That offers larger knob spacing which helps them hook better. It also causes them to wear faster, but you can't have everything.

You can also cut the tread across. You have to play with the design to find what works for you,but you can take out two rows and leave three,or take out one and leave two,and so on and so on.
