Banshee crazy kid Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 I had a drag with a DS-659 today about 5 times and he beat me every time by like 2-3 bike lengths,it was stock and my bike is basicly the same. those DS-650's have so much power. Was it normal for my neighbor to beat me in drags like that on a DS-650 ? I couldnt bealieve how fast the damn thing was Quote

Those DS 650s are fast though, they are the fastest stock production quad out. I heard that their powerband is similar to a 2 stroke too which is pretty nice. But if you get some pipes and maybe gear it up one front sprocket size you should be able to beat him. Quote

Them things are so heavy, they need to stick to making Sea Doos. And by the way the fastest production isn't the DS I think its the YFZ450 if i'm not mistaken. Quote

I doubt he will say yes thoe . I cant buy em until march or june cuz i am broke i only have about $600 and i dont intend to spend it on pipes. I still have to save for my trx450r. Quote

Thank god it was a 300ft race so I could wind her up! I don't like DS's because they are too big and ugly but you have to admit, they have some power. I can see how a stock shee got beat. Quote
