What else should I replace while I have the clutch case open?

- Shifter Star

- Shifter star detent

- Water impeller

?

Modded shift star is nice.

No need to replace the detent arm.

Check eccentric screw.

Check the kicker and rebuild if rattling.

Check seal and bearing for clutch push lever.

Check water pump assembly.

Pancake bearing should be installed.

Also check clutch cable.

Yeah? More trouble then they worth?
I won't install them, but just curious as-to the history of these little buggers... and how the fugg did I have 2 in there?

30 years ago someone thought they were needed. They are not. Right in the trash is where they go.

They ARE needed if you want to "shock the clutch"... but.. that's just a "hairflip"...

You should check the clutch basket for play while you’re in there. It might need cushions.

Thanks for putting this seed into my head.

And thanks to South Texas Banshee. Your vids are the shit brother.

Realized I didnt check the basket play correctly last time... and sure enough my cushions are shot...

Guess I'm doing cushions and billet water impeller while Im at it.

Thought the shee would live again by this weekend. Guess not.

Nice list dude. I'll find videos on how to properly check this stuff.
2nd pancake bearing recommendation. 100% needed huh? Okay.

Kicker rebuild is already done. I'm also replacing all brake pads and brake fluid, removing parking brake and replace with billet piece, oem headlight fixes and vinyl covers, exhaust clamps/polish and possibly redo the packing material, right rear tire leak, new engineice, new redline 75w gear oil for clutch, new billet levers and perch, grease cables, new spark plugs, straightened plastics, polishing the rear axle, cleaning the PRO filter...

My wishlist if funds show-up:
- suspension
- radiator
- led lights
- 6 pack rack
