strongweld Posted May 29, 2018 Author Report Posted May 29, 2018 An engine is a pump, the more air you can pump through, the more power you can make, modern CR500esk cylinders with 7 more ports each makes at least 50% more power than the stuff from the last millenium! Quote

Yes, the single cylinder stuff gets the advantage of massive transfers. The twins and triples only have so much room between the bores to cast, so there is less volume. Quote

Seems like guys are finally getting all the DMX's, Caracal's, Cougar's, and Scimitar's to run consistant. Like anything, if you just keep throwing time and money at it, it's bound to finally run. strongweld Posted June 11, 2018 Author Report Posted June 11, 2018 With 6 degrees of timing and 155 mains, Dyno states 38 ponies, ended up with 130 mains and 12 degrees timing, 102 horse with 1210 EGT Quote
n2otoofast4u Posted June 11, 2018 Report Posted June 11, 2018 Who spread your bore?! So negative this morning...Not negative. The spread stuff never ran like it should have on motor. Now I think the spread stuff is helpful (ish) if you are going to run an ass load of spray, but even then, there doesn't seem to be much (If any) performance advantage. Velocity over volume still prevails 90% of the time. Quote
