  1. Crazy how there were more people night riding, than the is usually riding in the daytime on a normal weekend Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  2. Crazy how these UTV's are so popular. they set up a nice Pro Tree 300 foot drag strip , 1000's of people there, well organized drag event for quads, after sign in you get a green wrist band a 3 red ones for your handlebar, each time you lose, the dirty rat bastards at the end of the track take one,.I lost mine is three runs, my bike is officialy a play bike, old school 595 Superior Sleeve is 3 bike lengths short at 300 feet, and can't roll with a 611DM in a drag chasis.

  4. With 6 degrees of timing and 155 mains, Dyno states 38 ponies, ended up with 130 mains and 12 degrees timing, 102 horse with 1210 EGT
  5. My bike also stumbles a little on the Dyno between 4 to 6000rpm, builder says it is a common problem when running race gas with only 185 psi compression, he likes 220 psi for strait 110
  6. put heat wrap on stinger tubes where they contact
  7. Tacoma Washington, or as we call it, Thecoma, not much going on here.
  8. Sunoco 110 with Bean oil 32:1, 6 gallons consumed in testing Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  9. My builder thinks I may have another 2 ponies if I went down one more step on the mains, but we didn't have any smaller Jets. The EGT of 1250 would have been perfect. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  10. CPI pipes, Cascade silencer's by the way. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  11. I am amazed at the difference in jetting between motors, I used recommendations from here, 160's is where others are. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  12. Old school JD ported 350 with 28pwk's and paul Turner mid pipes made 69 horsepower (girlfriends bike) no time for tuning hers, but it ran great already Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  13. Just spent 10 hours doing Dyno runs, went from 38 horsepower to 102. 10mm stroke, 77mm bore, 26cc domes, 185 compression, 35 pwk, 200 deg exhaust timing, 12 degree timing advance, DEG needle 3rd clip, 50 pilot, 130 main Every time I lowered the main jet it made more power, ended up at 1210 egt with 130, didn't have anything smaller to try, spent 10 hours getting this far. Crazy how small of Jets these are Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  14. I have found that if you have Cascade cans, they don't pull out their Db meter, and let you ride off into the sunset. May be that they are made in OR, they are quieter though. My 595 CPI bike blows 99 on my cheap meter, I think 92 db is their limit in the OR regulations.
  15. An engine is a pump, the more air you can pump through, the more power you can make, modern CR500esk cylinders with 7 more ports each makes at least 50% more power than the stuff from the last millenium!
  16. Charlie (Superior Sleeve) is their machinist by the way, they are 10 miles from each other.
  17. My bad, not the old Cascade Kevin, yes Top Dog racing, her drag bike is an SS motor, and her husband's bike is also, she told me the cub was very inconsistent due to narrow power band.
  18. I think Charlie at Superior Sleeve was the guy to stroke and big bore Pikes Peak 2 wheelers years before banshee's were even created, then they banned aftermarket cylinders due to the fact all other bikes were more than a minute slower at Pikes, a few years later he met Jim. He still has about 50 sets of jugs that are using KTM 300 pistons. Cascade uses them exclusively on their own personal drag bikes, the torque is much greater than a Cub, making them more consistent and easier to race. They have hundreds of trophy's piled up around their shop from Albany.
  19. Lucky for me Frank at F-N-Fast is 20 minutes away, Sean at Cascade and Charlie at Superior Sleeve are only a 2 hour drive.
  20. Here are my new bikes, sold my other bikes in 98 with an offer too good to pass up. Got into stand up jetskis. Found these 2 on offer up last month for dirt cheap, I was the only person to actually come and look at them, everyone else just gave him low-ball offer messages over a 3 month period. When I saw the Superior Sleeve jug on the red bike, I knew this was the one for me. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk
  21. Friend just picked up an eddy current Dyno, last month from Florence Yamaha, been waiting for the software to get all ironed out for weeks now, chomping at the bit to get the bike on it and find the right direction to go, he has a cdi and coil from a known good running bike to test to see WTF is the problem. He does not think it is the stator, listening to it, he does think the jetting is too rich though, but that was with the CGL needles in the carbs. He also has some 35's bored to 36.5 to try with 60's and 160's from his bike if I want to make sure I don't have some catastropic carb issue. I can't fathom how jetting can make such a lack of power if it is not that far off. Back in 1997 at Glamis with JD, Last time I rode Banshees, the 565's I rode were power wheelieing in 6th gear with +10 swingarms and 20-10-10" x 9 paddle haulers, I expect mine to act similarly. I just put a new set of ultra light 22-10 -8 x 10 paddle extremes pumped up to 6psi before I did any testing with 14-41 sprockets, dropped to a 13 to be sure I wasn't geared up too much, that didn't change anything either.
  22. The first stator and the rickie do not have any high rpm sputter or miss, I assume that is the problem with a bad stator. I am only generating about 30 horsepower, my 350 bike makes about 70 ,and would leave the 595 10 bike lengths in the dust in a drag race, this 595 should be at least 90 horsepower with massive torque. I don't have anything but paddles to do testing with, and the dunes are 6 hours away, looks like I need to buy some knobbies a oem stator, Dam it!
  23. I have an old school JD Superior sleeve bike I just picked up, it sat for 15 years since it was last ridden, it was tired so I bored it and opened up the combustion chambers from 19cc to 25cc, when I got it had only 150 psi compression, it should have been well over 200 with such small chambers, with fresh bore and 25cc chambers it is now at 185lbs, a little low but I well weld it up and redo them later. I backed the timing down to 6 degrees from 10. It starts on the first or second kick. I use Sonoco 110 fuel and Klotz bean oil at 40:1 The 35 pwk's had 52 pilots, 162 mains and CGL needles in the 3rd clip, I took it to the dunes for testing, it would not make any power, no power band, went one step at a time down to 142 with the mains, went back to 160 mains, then went down on the one step at a time to 42's, not much difference in power output. It revs a little slow, but not bad, I thought it was the stroke that slowed it down from the snappy 350 motors I an used to. Changed the needles to CEL, not any beter. Changed the needles to DGK, a little beter, but not much I replaced the stator with a rickie 100watt, because the lighting coil was burnt on the one that came with the bike, it was a no name 200 watt looking one no change, cleaned all electrical connections, coil ground ect I has vforce reeds that looked great upon inspection. What am I missing in my trouble shooting, and what jetting direction would you recommend I go? Thanks
