B-shop164 Posted April 20, 2018 Report Posted April 20, 2018 Wich pipe is the best for oem cillinder ported +4mm crank , cool head , vf4 , carb 35 for dirt track and flat track! Quote
gusto Posted April 20, 2018 Report Posted April 20, 2018 CPI and Shearer for sure. i wouldn’t pass on Pro Circuits either as they are great pipe Quote
Schweet97Z Posted April 20, 2018 Report Posted April 20, 2018 Put on smaller carbs and run PT Mids or SLP’sSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
specialblend07 Posted April 20, 2018 Report Posted April 20, 2018 Shearers are the best pipes money can buy Quote
B-shop164 Posted April 21, 2018 Author Report Posted April 21, 2018 Shearer are the best ? Not to big for that setup? Quote
Ayesully810 Posted April 21, 2018 Report Posted April 21, 2018 (edited) If your cylinders arent ported out too much you will like em. they hit really hard and rev good. if they are ported out a lot the bottom end will suck just know that. if so, that mixed with 35mm carbs and shearers it will likely be a turd on the low end Edited April 21, 2018 by Ayesully810 Quote
B-shop164 Posted April 22, 2018 Author Report Posted April 22, 2018 so the shearers are the best and they are better than the t5 on a setup like this Quote
Toybreaker Posted April 23, 2018 Report Posted April 23, 2018 Shearer and CPI are top end, dirt and flat track are all pretty much top end racing So Yes Shearer and CPI pipes are TOP END pipes so they would be better than T-5's for what you plan on doing with your bike. Quote
ride.race.live Posted April 23, 2018 Report Posted April 23, 2018 What kind of dirt flat track racing are you doing. Everyone here is assuming your running oval.... which in that case they would be right If your racing in tighter tracks with hard turns and hairpins... your going to find yourself fighting the motor if its too top end oriented. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted April 25, 2018 Report Posted April 25, 2018 ^ that. How big of a track? 1/2 mile ovals, go Shearers or CPI. The CPI will have a tad bit more grunt if you need it to come out of the turn harder. If you're running real short tracks or twisty TT stuff, try a set of SLP's or PT's. T5's are a little lazy for my taste. Quote
B-shop164 Posted May 1, 2018 Author Report Posted May 1, 2018 I use for long oval track and for ice racing oval , i will change my pipe for a cpi or a shearer 🤭 Quote
ZillaFreak Posted May 1, 2018 Report Posted May 1, 2018 Why do people continue to compare drag pipes (shearer, CPI, etc) to a garbage pipe (T5)? They are not same pipe and not designed close to the same thing. Quote
sleeper06 Posted May 4, 2018 Report Posted May 4, 2018 Can you run of pipes for that kind of racing . Top end benefits with better torque Quote
