coops03shee Posted March 30, 2018 Report Posted March 30, 2018 I'm trying to decide between the Cascade and Chariot stator covers. With the Chariot one and the output shaft bearing support is this needed or a good idea with higher HP motors? I haven't seen the Chariot cover offered in a polished version but the Cascade cover does come polished and looks amazing. Looking for input from folks who have run either of these covers and your thoughts about the bearing support offered by Chariot. Thanks for any input you can provide, Tony Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 30, 2018 Report Posted March 30, 2018 I've run both. The cascade stuff is nice and fits well, but is a bit heavier and as you mentioned, no bearing provision. How big of a motor are you running? And are you making timing and gearing changes often? Quote
coops03shee Posted March 30, 2018 Author Report Posted March 30, 2018 The motor is going to be a 421 serval. Just sent it to Redline for a complete build. It's mainly an open trail bike and the motor is being built to suit that type of riding. Shooting for mid 80's on HP from what Cameron was talking about.Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 30, 2018 Report Posted March 30, 2018 Cascade would be nice on a trail bike. No need for the bearing support and all that. Although the chariots do look nice. You can polish them up if you've got patience. Quote

coops03shee Posted March 30, 2018 Author Report Posted March 30, 2018 Cool, I appreciate the feedback! Forgot to mention with the timing, the motor is getting dyno'd by Cameron so after getting the motor back and getting it dialed in I shouldn't need to be messing with the timing much. Famous last words though, shouldn't need to mess with it lol.Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk Quote
coops03shee Posted March 30, 2018 Author Report Posted March 30, 2018 The Cascade covers do look DAMN good!!! Sweet pic of yours, thanks for posting that up!Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 31, 2018 Report Posted March 31, 2018 Don’t forget Wicked ATV. Roger makes some really cool stuff. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 31, 2018 Report Posted March 31, 2018 Roger's stuff is bad ass. The whole racing stripe line is killer. Quote
coops03shee Posted March 31, 2018 Author Report Posted March 31, 2018 (edited) Tyler and tricked, you are correct about the Wicked ATV parts, they look amazing! I usually go through the sponsor list when looking for parts, hard to remember who builds what all the time so I just check their sites quick for a refresher lol. Ended up being torn between the Wicked and Cascade covers for a while. After some pondering I ended up going with the Cascade cover. I already have their water pump cover and Cascade had the stator cover to match. Should go nicely with the polished Direct Drive lock-up clutch cover. I really appreciate the input guys! Never hesitate to remind me about one of the sponsors, it can be easy to overlook something while going through their sites checking for parts. Tony Edited March 31, 2018 by coops03shee Quote
