Almost have everything off the frame but one upper A-Arm is stuck and of course the pivot bearing on the swing arm. Sledge hammer didn't work... I think it may be time to invest in a sawzall

Turn frame on side. Spray bolt with penetrating oil. Get brass punch about 1/2 diam. Beat with sledge. Ive had stubborn ones but i alway got them out this way.

So much fo me wanting that frame lol

I was exaggerating with the sawzall part hahha. Everything came off like butter except that stuff...

Looking like I'm sending frame off to get gusseted and powder coated

Sawzall should be the red rider BB gun of Gen X kids! Everyone should get one! But don't put your eye out with it!

I'm on the fence about a build as well...I've had 250R Honda's in the past, but after a ten+ year hiatus I want to play again..I rode a stock'ish Banshee and loved the power, but hate the ergonomics...I'm thinking YFZ450R swap..

Good luck with your build, sorry to hijack the thread. Just reading and learning...

PB Blaster did the trick. Everything is off the frame, time to make a pallet and send off to get media blasted, gusseted and powder coated Yamaha Blue

Who's doin fab work?

Not dead set yet, but Duncan has my motor so I may send them my frame so then can send me back a roller.

Thinking Roll Designs long travel A-arms and Elka Stage 5's

Still debating on the Lonestar swing arm and axle.... wish Roll still made swing arms.

So you're going to send Duncan a roller so they can install the a-arms then send you back a roller? What?

Typing at work sorry... they already have the motor so they would do finishing work on the frame and instal motor and suspension.

Basically when get the bike back, all I would need to do is put plastics on it and go ride.

What made you go with Duncan?

I like their long term reputation and the approach on the build. I'm looking to build a strong, reliable full build. Would rather be bullet proof rather than the fastest.

They are a well known name, but a tad out of date compared to sponsors around here.

What gives you the impression anything else wouldn't be reliable is what I should've asked. Good luck either way.
