J-Madd Posted October 12, 2016 Report Posted October 12, 2016 I paid sales tax on it at the dealer. But no it was not registered. I forget about that being a problem. There would be a penalty to register. And I pay property taxes on it. Its your call if you decide you want it. Quote
m671054 Posted October 13, 2016 Report Posted October 13, 2016 It usually drops out after 7 years or so in ca. No penalties are due after that. The title would establish ownership so no vin verification should be needed to transfer title and reg into your name. Quote
