broke350 Posted July 13, 2016 Report Posted July 13, 2016 It sounds like only one cylinder is firing too. Do you have spark at both spark plugs? Do either/both plugs look fouled? Have you replaced the plugs to see if that helps? Definitely check compression. Quote

Im going to double check when I take my exhaust off for the leakdown test. Quote

Larry's Shee Posted July 13, 2016 Report Posted July 13, 2016 If nothing else helps ohm plug caps separately, 5K , trim 1/4" off wires , install caps with dielectric grease. Clean nubs on the flywheel of rust, set pickup gap, .018" Check that ALL connections are clean, tight, add dielectric grease. Grounds also !! Check ground at stator and stator plate to engine case, no white corrosion allowed. Quote

Cnelson47 Posted July 18, 2016 Author Report Posted July 18, 2016 **UPDATE** Sorry it took so long guys was waiting on a leakdown tester to come in the mail. Long story short I did the leakdown test and found a major leak on my right intake boot which explains the popping etc. on the right cylinder. The boot itself looks old and dry rotted so I went ahead and ordered replacement ones. I dont know if it will fix my problem completely, but it will surely help. I will have more updates at the end of this week. Thanks guys! Quote

J-Madd Posted July 20, 2016 Report Posted July 20, 2016 Is it running on both cylinders? Like I said before, I've seen this when the wrong pin height pistons are used. Do you still have the piston box or receipt? Did you hone the cylinders? This is stock stroke, stock rod? Quote
