I have 2 local dirt drag tracks here and I was thinking about getting into it seeing as I only ride trails one weekend a year. My question is does anyone ride a stock cylinder drag bike thats around 250#s? I wanted to go with a 4 mill on race gas but not sure if it'll be enough to pull my fat ass.

Im 200lbs and ran 3.90's with stock cyls but im on alky. The thing about drag racing is it can be fast as shit but if its not consistant your not hittn on much...

Do you ever place? I've never actually been to one of these tracks to watch a race but if the local craigslist adds for "drag banshees" and "full race ready 450" are an example of what's at the track I might have a chance with the ol 421 1/2 smerv

Between my son and I, we've done pretty good since 2012. If its bracket racing, anybody can win. be5b35a5e6efa3937915b75bc1a80dcc.jpg3829e597ee1772e5aa1b118c74c1147f.jpg Ive done really good in money classes too.

Bracket racing has exactly zero to do with how fast your junk is, and everything to do with how consistent your junk it. Long story short, if you are just going to have fun, meet some new people, and feel the acceleration, then it is a perfect way to do it. However, if you're the "I need to be a bit faster so I can keep up with Poncho" guy then the bracket racing will become boring and you're pocket book will deplete itself in the quest to be "just a little faster". Be careful! They shit is like a drug!

Yep. Years ago Riding my own shit in the 4s, then in the 3.8s, now I never ride. Now I have the best jockey in the biz making my junk look crazy fast.

Man, when I can figure out how to get a banshee motor mounted in Camping tent poles, and get a 5 year old kid or teenage dwarf/midget with enough balls to jockey it, I'm sure I'll be a contender.
