Acquired my first banshee yesterday. Pretty stock other than pipes, any must do/low buck stuff I should do to it? Just want a solid reliable machine.

Thanks

Clean carbs, clean/rebuild petcock, replace choke tube, delete TORS and parking break, new brake pads, grease all pivot points, lube chain, new swing arm pivot bearings, new fluids, fresh plugs, and clean and dialectric grease every plug.

Change oil, new plugs, clean carbs, check jetting to make sure it's correct, new 93 gas and premix oil wouldn't hurt. Grease the arms. Chain maintaince- clean, lube, tighten. Clean air filter and lube. If you have a compression tested wouldn't hurt to see where you are in each cylinder and leak down test

They said it was jetted for Idaho. Anyone have a guess on where to start here jet wise?

Congrats looks clean I like the blue plastics!

Thanks! It's super clean. Look forward to tinkering on it. It does have the tors yet. Woman owned.

Better check what jets are in it before you ride much (at all).

If it was jetted for St Anthony, you'll be way lean at 120'

That was my thought as well. Thanks

shaving the head, timing plate, k&n filters, and tors delete

It has K&N filters, but they are right on the carbs, I did get the stock airbox with it too though, would it be better to put that back on with K&N in that?

Ill have to look into the timing plate, I found the tors kits on ebay and amazon, any other recommendation for a location to buy those?

Did a compressions test at lunch, both holes are 120-121psi, it has br8es plugs in it, normal? I put new plugs in and fired it up, took short 1 acre run, will check the plugs later, if its lean it wont smoke much right? (I have not had a 2 stroke in a number of years)
