n2otoofast4u Posted September 8, 2015 Report Posted September 8, 2015 Gas or meth? What bowls? What needle/seat? Im a firm believer in no pump! Quote

J-Madd Posted September 8, 2015 Report Posted September 8, 2015 Big bowls and no pump. If you do want a pump the round one is fine. Make sure needle and seats are correct as mentioned. Assuming 300' racing. Quote
locogato11283 Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 I see no reason to run a pump. Quote
camatv Posted September 9, 2015 Report Posted September 9, 2015 big bowls, proper fuel supply setup. usually you dont need a pump anymore. unless your running up a mountain at WFO in 5th pinned.. Quote
bigboy Posted September 10, 2015 Author Report Posted September 10, 2015 Ok. Thanks for all the help guys. I really do appreciate it. Quote
RadarRacing Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 Big bowls for either gas or alky should be fine. I dont mind a pump but lectrons have been a pain to not overflow and leak with a pump due to the float design. 1 Quote
camatv Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 on my 535 with 42/44 lectrons with big bowls at whitefield revving out 5th the bike never ran dry on top. i run a 15/41 gearing with a 1-5 override and hinson straight cut overdrive gears. i dont know how fast we were going but it was a long ways. the 2 others locally there when we went were shutting down as we clicked into 5th. BUT i tune my needle pretty dead on not really rich like some and the DMR pj seems to work well. that is a flat drag not up a mountain. i'm sure the added load of going uphill would change things up a lot.
