trickedcarbine Posted January 12, 2015 Author Report Posted January 12, 2015 With shipping back and forth plus what I'd want an hour, it wouldn't be worth paying me to restore them. Quote

gusto Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 Tricked what do you think of all those videos of guys using coca cola for rust removal on chrome? Tried it? Bogus? Quote
trickedcarbine Posted January 20, 2015 Author Report Posted January 20, 2015 Meh, just because you get a slight chemical reaction doesn't mean you should go pouring coke all over your shiney stuff. Because it would then be sticky gooey stuff... It's for drinking, not polishing. Try WD-40 if your feeling hard up. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted February 21, 2016 Author Report Posted February 21, 2016 If you do all this to shitty chrome does it remove the chrome? Do you still need to seal it if the pipes were chrome? It is possible to go through the chrome if it's junk. Even some descent chrome requires a level of finesse and a lot more time on the wheel then sanding. However if it's shitty, pitted, and thin, I personally would prefer to just power through it and get the pipe raw. Quote
