ChrisH1989
I'm not as experienced as any of you on working on banshees. I have an on going problem that I can't pin point. A year ago I flew through some water and after that all she wants to do is bogg out. I have changed the reeds, and rebuilt the carbs. I'm starting to think maybe water in the combustion chamber or possibly I just don't know how to adjust the carbs. I have never changed the jets on the carb. Her mods are T5 exhaust, cool heads and vforce 4 reeds. I ride with an open filter box. For some reason now she won't even run for more than 15 seconds at best. But must of the time I'm just kicking away and she'll give me nothing. Any suggestions? Edited April 12, 2014 by ChrisH1989
locogato11283
It's electrical. Check your connections. Going through water will not change your jetting. Have you replaced spark plugs?
ChrisH1989
I have no replaced the spark plugs, if you don't mind me asking why do you say electrical? I mean I do get it to run, just not for long
ChrisH1989
And I only mention jetting because I have modded things on the bike and was wondering If I should change the jets Edited April 12, 2014 by ChrisH1989
locogato11283
Running through water will not affect jetting. If you rebuilt the carbs and the jets are clean then it's not likely your problem, unless you've installed slides wrong or forgot the choke tube. Larry's Shee
How did it run before it took a bath? Have you changed anything while fucking with it? Is the air filter dry of ALL water?
ChrisH1989
Ok so I figured out the stator is cooked and the only way I got it to run the little I did was the power of compression... Any suggestion on which stator to replace it with
