sprinklerman Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Allen head bolts. Stainless. Sent from a van down by the river Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 32mm nut, but my 1 1/4" fits better. Phillips screw problem is very common. i like to replace with original - just me Quote
Abe Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Yup Allen head kit for both sides are only like $16. A 1 1/4 standard socket fits the clutch basket nut perfect but its technically a metric size but I didn't have one that big Quote
Abe Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Damn everyone was shooting and I was last lol Quote
sheerider11 Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Matoon on eBay has kits for both sides, WP cover, clutch insert, and clutch gasket for like 30 bucks Quote
GOAT Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 It's all good Abe, much appreciated. I need to get it apart tomorrow cleaned up. Im also wondering is there anything better then stock for the water pump impeller? Hot coolant and plastics just doesn't seem like a good combo. I'd like to go ahead and get a gasket kit and bearings on order aswell. Any input on what to work with your 4 mil combo sprinklerman? Also wanting to know about cylinder porting? I've done several automotive heads. Nothing 2 cycle... Aswell as building the stroker I want to go ahead and build a " sleeper" .30 over stock stroke stock carb pump gas screamer. So any input on what not to do is appreciated.. not looking to hog them out.. just accentuate. Quote
uman1030 Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Ya those phillip heads suck, i switched over to allens as well but luckily i have an impact screwdriver that i always used before i switched. Still just easier to use the allens. Quote
Abe Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Mull engineering or oem on the impeller imo. The other brands the shaft just doesn't last at the seal. What good is more flow when it starts leaking into your crankcase Quote
willaduncan Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Mull or chariot billet impellers are the only way to go Quote
GOAT Posted March 10, 2014 Author Report Posted March 10, 2014 Finally got the pig apart and this was shoved where the rod melted down. Quote
