shee1992 Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 Im putting my banshee back togather and need input on which pipes. mods are 4mill, stock cylinders dune port, 19cc domes, 35 pwk's, vforce4, +4 timing. I mostly use it for 300-500 races as a play bike. Im looking at either cpi or shearer inframes. 1 Quote
RadarRacing Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 Shearers. More power , dont burn your legs as much. I have ridden bikes back to back with each pipes and shearers always were faster especially in a 300+ foot run. Quote
shee1992 Posted January 30, 2014 Author Report Posted January 30, 2014 ok I just had a few guys tell me theirs ran better with the cpi's but those guys had real basic port work with stock stroke. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 Just go with whatever the guy with the biggest Johnson says. 2 Quote
shee1992 Posted January 30, 2014 Author Report Posted January 30, 2014 looks like im getting some shearers, is the show chrome worth it or just get the reg chrome finish Quote
shee1992 Posted January 30, 2014 Author Report Posted January 30, 2014 I was going to order from Jeff at fast, he did the cylinders. Quote
LCW Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Shearers rock, switched from a set of CPI oofs to some show chrome shearers. Bike was a totally different animal... Quote
trickedcarbine Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 These are the show chrome pipes from shearer. These were put on my buddy's bike about a week ago. The show chrome is considerably nicer especially if you give it a good rub down and sealer before running them. We did see a few spots that weren't so hot but these things still look way more kick ass then my nickel. If it were me buying another new set, And wanting the absolute best quality...... I'd buy raw and have my chrome done my self at a really nice shop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free Quote
