Jrod324 Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Hey guys i have a quick question is there a possible way to tune the bike to make gas last a lil longer then it normally does? No big mods just uni filters fmf pipes mikuni carbs 28mm (i believe) Quote
do-work-son Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Cap a fuel line off one carb, it will cut down on power a little but once you toast a cyl the fuel in the tank will last a while Jk proper jetting or buy a 4 stroke I get 2-3 hr on a tank normally we are ready for a beer and break by then Quote
uman1030 Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Hey guys i have a quick question is there a possible way to tune the bike to make gas last a lil longer then it normally does? No big mods just uni filters fmf pipes mikuni carbs 28mm (i believe) only way to conserve fuel would be to keep it bone stock. stock exhaust, stock air box WITH snorkle, stock carbs properly jetted for all the suffocation factors of stockness..This would use the least amount of fuel. also be the least amount of FUN! thomas h. Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Instead of mpg get a tow rope and make a four poke use his low torque for something useful beside being slow. Quote
Surfrjag Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 I have my midrange and idle as lean as possible without causing bog problems when warmed up. It will go 5-6 hrs until i start racing ppl then ill be lucky to get 2-3 Quote
Deadbeat Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 remove one rod, piston, cylinder, pipe and carb, cap off the case and you will double your your fuel range, 175cc banshee ftw Quote
WINDYCITYJOHN400 Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Best mod for great mileage is the YFZ450 mod. Quote
RadarRacing Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Man , these guys are brutal. Tuned perfectly regardless of mods. To go the farthest , ride conservatively. We have done river runs and had to carry gas with us and the 2 strokes definately burned a ton more gas than the 4 strokes. the banshees with us averaged about 11 miles on a tank. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 NO! Banshees are not meant to be economical. Quote
