coating a raw swingarm

I plan on getting a swingarm made but want to just leave it raw. What the best way to protect it? I hear clear powdercoat dulls overtime?

I used rattle can clear on nine and its holding up so far, been like that for a few months now.

Clear powder, maybe take your time with clear engine enamel

The metal under clear PC will surface rust over time.

i would say clear rattle can so if it does rust and clean it up and repaint it. or like i said earlier just wipe down with oil every do often. many do it with frames and pipes seems to work

that would defeat the purpose of keeping it raw. It would be called blasted then.

There is a product called Diamond Clear that works well on raw metal. Eastwood sells it in a spray can

No, it was run through a machine that brushes the steel before it's even assembled.
