KRS-1 Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 I have a totally stock j frame, thinking about building an 1/8 mile asphalt drag bike. I want to keep the stock frame, add swingarm, wheelie bar, drag axle and struts. What would be a very fast and reliable motor? Quote
special06shee Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 stock cylinders can be made very fast in the right hands! Quote
kshoulde35 Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 The consensus will be the cub... But right next to that Id put a nice stock cylinder setup.... This all depends on your wallet and how fast you want to go tho? Quote
Tedder Posted July 17, 2013 Report Posted July 17, 2013 Strictly an 1/8 mile asphalt drag bike. Stock cylinders can be made to run but speaking from experience do yourself a favor and go with the cub. I'm doing a 10mil this season but have had a 4mil since 2008 and liked it so much that I kept it totally intact as a backup instead of using pieces parts for the new motor. Quote
KRS-1 Posted July 17, 2013 Author Report Posted July 17, 2013 Thanks guys! Most of the bikes around here (MS), are 4 mil cubs, and I am hoping to surprise a few of them. Quote
2strokes4u Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 10mil cub? Will cost more and you will surprise the 4mil cubs in your area. I have 7mil that i run in 1/8th but would have went with 10mil but I purchased my bike with a 7mil already in it. Quote
2strokes4u Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 didnt mean to put the question mark.... Quote
10milmike Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 I am going to run a a 10mil cheetah on the 1/8 track by my house this year, just waiting on my rear tires to come in the mail. This should be fun. Quote
