  1. Digitron, its a mph sensor I just use it for the clutch. Got it on the output shaft near the sprocket, it also reads rpm, get temp
  2. if it slips to much the lockup is not going to lock it up
  3. The lockup on dirt is lockup in the first 5ft-10ft
  4. yes, it had a faster acceleration
  5. the lift is the fight between the springs slipping and the lockup trying to lock it up
  6. change only one at a time, you can change spring pressure and arm weight but which one did what?
  7. Ok, let's talk about the first .4 seconds of the run (look at bottom of the screen) this is where the spring pressure(base pressure, installed height) is working with the lockup, but if ya look at .2 seconds that's all spring pressure. These passes are blue-24lbs pressure black-23lbs pressure red-22lbs pressure. So until you take a spring pressure gauge and measure your pressure your blowing in the wind with just guessing spring pressure. Any ?s feel free to ask
  8. I've seen this a few times at the track from other bikes. People might not be talking about the clutch but I bet they are reading it cause I see more bikes at tracks on one side with the clutch cover off. Thanks again Brian for all you have posted on here.
  9. How do you post pic and I'll put some up.
  10. I tested a Digitron this year, rpm, egt, and mph I just used mph to see what my clutch was doing, you can load your run to a labtop and see what it doing it reads .005 increments.
  11. Get a slower more constant bike to test against, set him out see how long it takes to catch him.
  12. I have always been a Dan hull fan the man dominated his classes for years, the rdz did what nobody did he ran #s with smaller size motors what bikes was running twice the size, then you start hearing about Jason menz, man this guy is just taking it to another level. I give props to all that make you say, we can go faster, I have talk to Menz and I'll tell you this, he is a straight up dude he does things that you would not even think of. I think both rdz and Menz deserve credit for what they have done..
  13. I have never ran sand but you can still control the tire, with out any timing system the only other option is to use someone as a guinepig( like a sparing partner) use him to see if you speed up or slow down. Another thing if the track is not there guys don't chase it, its like trying to hit a curve ball.
  14. One more thing and I'll hush... This is how I tell if you got a good handle on controlling the tire, most guys will slow the tire down with gear, just say my gear was 16/46 and I was on the line of it bogging but it control my tire from spinging.. Put a 15 on the front and see if you can slow it down knowing that to low of a gear and knowing its going to spin. Then you will start understanding the clutch... Make only one change, don't change you spring and lockup weight at one time.
