Anthony133 Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 Im in the proccess of building a banshee and im getting all the poweder coating done first. Which i need to buy a swingarm and get that done so itll match. I basically want the most out of my banshee but to where i can still trail/race it. Basically a really powerful atv that wont be built just for drag racing. 4mil 7mil 10mil, dont know yet, im going to have hjr help make a package but my question is, what swingarm do i NEED? Dont want to go too long but i dont know if anyone has been through this and knows what size should be good... Thanks Quote
special06shee Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 There are a ton of variables. Rider weight, power of bike, type of riding.. I ran a +4 on a 71hp bike and it worked great on trail, play dragging, and decent on hills. On my 10cub witch makes 100+hp i run a +6. Its still decent on trail, but could used a longer arm for hills. Just depends on want you want to do Quote
J Whitehurst Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 Need more information, if you are sand or dirt riding. Hillclimbs or flat riding or trails. If you are running a ten mill play bike here in the Oregon sand you would probably need an eight, really depends on your riding style setup and abilities. Quote
possum Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 special that 10 cub must power wheelie like crazy with a +6.. Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 If a 10mm is the biggest motor you're building I'd go with a +6. Quote

gomerkfx700 Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Didn't want to start a new topic so I thought I'd ask hear I'm having second thoughts on my swingarm length with my engine I got a +6 for my 421serval I weight 390 and will be doing a lot of trail riding some hills and alit of play dragging. I can't hardy ride a stock bike due to it standing up so did I go wrong with a +6 Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 I think you'll be fine. Just ride it and see. Quote
