  1. I have several 2-5 drums if you are interested in purchasing. One with the bearing mod and one without.
  2. Adjust your clutch, are the arrows lined up on the case? Sounds too tight to me.
  3. Gosh darn it Cam, people sure do love you. No shortage of dates in here.
  4. One example of a kit. You will need to install idler screws of you plan on keeping the stock carbs. http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-350-BANSHEE-AFTERMARKET-THROTTLE-CABLE-CAPS-/130602594079?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e68856f1f&vxp=mtr
  5. I had a sling shot in my DM, swapped it out for a Direct Drive lock, works better. I had 3 balls in the slingshot and 6 toomey springs. It did hold the clutch. The main reason I switched is easy clutch change out.
  6. Stock is the best way to go if you are not a tuner. An adjustable timing plate will be the best bet for waht you are proposing. You can throw timing at any engine and make power for a while, it will not last though. You do not need a Dyna to build an awesome engine.
  7. Be very careful with the curves, you can detonate an Alcohol motor quick. Curve three wiil give you about 6 degrees. I run one on mt DM but it is on stock curve. I like the digital spark duration. That little bastard can cost you a shitload of money if you advance too much. Most guys hate them but I have had decent luck with mine. I do carry two stock CDI's to the drags just in case.
  8. Wow, sorry to hear that. As much fun as we have on our machines sometimes they can reach out bite you hard. Hope you heal up well.
  9. Nothing to the cases. Give Cam a call and have him set up your cylinders for a 4 mil. Best way to go when the crank goes shit.
  10. I understand that, just explaining my setup . Seems like he has another issue.
  11. Stocked up on DM gaskets, Thanks for the great deal.
  12. Pull the cylinders. Sounds like a hung ring or a crank bearing. May as well pull the motor it is easier at this point bud, sorry.
  13. Don't take this the wrong way but my play bike is a 421 on gas, I can pull second gear starts all day long hard with 22" SLS 10 paddle extremes. Geared at 15/43. You may want to take a look at the motor and see if you have an issue bud. I am 260 lbs by the way. Mine pulls hard all the way through 5th on a long hill. The ten will allow for more wheel speed because of the weight transfer but I still think your motor should pull second gear launches with ease with 9 paddles. By the way my motor is a stock cub no porting.
  14. Yes you will feel resistance without plugs in it, different than normal, almost like compression. Once you feel a bad crank under rolling kickstart you can pinpoint it pretty easy. Pull the clutch cover and start there. I do not think it is an idler but start there, stranger things have happened. I have experienced these motors make completely different sounds from the same problems.
  15. If you still use the bike for play riding, a ten would be max. If you are drag only then a twelve is probably your answer. Then you can run more paddle.
  16. Jump the red/black and black wires to eliminate the key. Check the coil ground to frame, tighten motor mount bolts to ensure good engine ground. The ground at the regulator is for lighting but tighten it any way.
  17. Jump the key switch like sheerider says, check the grounds, sounds like that is the issue here.
  18. Kind of sounds more like a gear problem with the rapid clicking you are describing. Could be as simple as a broken water pump impeller. Crack the clutch cover off and start there. You can usually feel a crank bearing bad when you roll the kick starter.
  19. I prefer the south dunes too. We go to SL once a year for the Valentines day ride to see all our riding friends but it is not as much fun. Have a good time, we will be at the Oregon Dunes raceway tuning our drag bikes.
  20. The electronics and wiring code are the sam so you can cut and solder the plugs if you need to.
