I have a 96 banshee that had the carbs rebuilt by a shop and now it will run with chokes on but it will bog out on bottom end and if i cut the chokes off it just bogs out and dies immediately any clue or help to what my problem might be??

Sounds like one or both of the pilot jets could be plugged up. I would also check to see that the choke tube is in correctly. It's also easy to put the slides in backwards.

i have 2 bikes that did exact same thing. ran fine then i rebuilt the engines then they wouldnt run with choke off. had carbs off 4 times and messed with pilot jet sizes. they run now with choke off but wont idle. still havent figured out what the hell the problem is but dirt aint causing it. probly try this weekend to sort it out

Could also be the airscrew adjustment. Really, really doubt the float height has anything to do with it though.

I agree with spurdy and loco. clogged/lean pilots or air screws.

My 1st blaster was doing the same thing when I first bought it , would run with the choke on , choke off it would die and it wouldn't idle for shit . When I removed the carb I found that my main jet had vibrated loose and was laying in the float bowl .

It stands to reason you're massively lean. Since you haven't done anything that would affect jetting, I figure there are a couple likely options here: one, that your now-clean carbs are not properly tuned (float height correct, air mixture screw correct, idle screws set) and synced, or two, that since your re-installation you've got an air leak around your carbs. There are other things that would do it too (i.e. an air leak anywhere else), but let's just rule out spooky coincidences for the moment.

So I'd re-do the full procedure for carb setup. Then I'd do a leak down test and repair any leaks you might have.

I just had a very similar experience - running like shit with chokes and not at all without them. Couldn't find the problem anywhere, had me stumped. Turned out to be a huge air leak in the intake manifold.... I was losing 5-6 psi/min.

Thanks guys, just have got around to checking into some of the issues today,! I found a choke tube that had come off so I fixed that and my idling for some reason was set all the way up so I turned that down and got it to run without the chokes and wasn't bogging down, so I think when I get more time and get the idling fine tuned it should be fine. I hope its just those two simple things, once again thanks for the help guys!!!
