I can't comment on the Haynes since I've never seen one but the Clymers manual is very good. I recommend it to anyone - new or experienced Quote
bansheesandrider Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 As far as I know the Haynes manual also covers the Warrior, and that sucks unless you also own a Warrior because you will have to wade through all the Warrior info also to find the Banshee info. I have never used a Clymers but everybody on here swears by them, but I think that is because it is cheaper than the factory manual. I personally use a factory manual, becuase that was all that I could find when I bought my first Banshee 21 years ago. It is a great manual, but they do cost a fair chunk of change. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 See you're new, welcome to BHQ if I haven't said that yet. My only experience with Haynes is auto type manuals, which I don't care for much. Cheap paper, (yellowish like newspaper) poor quality photos, not well detailed instructions. Might be able to find a downloadable manual here on BHQ or elsewhere. IMHO, do you're best to get a Clymers, well worth the wait and trouble to import it. BTW, where are you? As far as your problem maybe we can help you in the meantime. Give a description of your problem the best you can. Quote
MorrisJL Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 I'm also a new banshee owner...decided to go with the Clymers manual, best price and most praised on the site. I've read through most of it just to learn about the banshee and to see if I overlooked some major flaws before I purchase it. The manual is easy to follow, even jobs most new owners would find a little overwhelming, good tables and charts with every spec you would want to know. The only thing I suggest is to buy the downloadable version so you have a softcopy, then printing it out and putting the pages in sheet protecters. I already got a few smudges on the pages and can see a problem in the future. Hope you get your problem worked out... I'm still trying to get a handle on jetting. Quote
jbooker82 Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 I would imagine the Haynes manual has the warrior lumped in due to the fact that they can half ass combine 2 atv's to put a book together with less detail on each atv. Claymer all the way. Quote
Dazeys Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 I downloaded it from the " USEFUL LINKS " thread on this site. Quote
Craig_b Posted February 7, 2011 Author Report Posted February 7, 2011 sweet cheers for the feedback guys, problem is all sorted now, well thats what i think without having test ridden it yet, seems to click through gears fine on the bike stand so will see how she runs in a couple of weeks. im am living in new zealand, getting a manual over here will just take a bit longer than going down the road and getting a haynes manual but got to pay the cost to be the boss. cheers again Quote
midlifecrisis Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Clymers all the way! My wife reads fantasy books, I read Clymers. Welcome to your new addiction bro! Quote
blackedout96 Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 I have both and had the Haynes manual first... The Haynes manual does include Warrior as well, but the information is very well seperated and just as in depth as the Clymer. If all you can get is the Haynes, go for it. Quote
