So Cal Suspension Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 Ok so as of last night the road was impassable (sp?) Anybody been by there, can we get in. I was supposed to head out there tomorrow morning but its a 9 hour drive for me. I might just reroute to glamis. whats the word? I heard the road near the vendors pads was all but gone... These are pictures from the storm. Dumont Dune Riders Has been updating their site every day. I would say head for Glamis, but if you're going to camp in the washes, try to stay <10. I heard 14 got washed out really bad, and a few motorhomes were mudbuckets. Quote
jasons Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 WOW!!!! thats insane. Glamis didnt get much rain for this past storm from what i have been told. Quote

You should find yourself a new source for information, because they got POUNDED for almost 3 days straight... I had a ton of friends out there. There were literally ponds all over sand highway... almost unheard of out there. Quote
rubberneck Posted December 25, 2010 Author Report Posted December 25, 2010 Looks like were going to glamis. According to the weather channel its supposed to be clear all week. Hope they are right Quote
Wicked ATV Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Oh shit! that's a river! Take the jetskis to Dumont instead or some fun white water river rafting lol.. cool pics and advise Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 Damn, that place looks jacked up. Quote
midlifecrisis Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 WOW! Being from Ontario, Canada Ive never been to either of those places. Isnt it supposed to be a desert? Or at least an arid climate? Guess weve got global warming to thank for that! Quote
Sandfrk33 Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 WOW! Being from Ontario, Canada Ive never been to either of those places. Isnt it supposed to be a desert? Or at least an arid climate? Guess weve got global warming to thank for that! We don't get rain very often. When its a huge storm, everything washes out. I live 100 miles from dumont, and we had 10 roads close because of flash flooding. Desert dirt doesn't soak up water very well Quote
jasons Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 Looks like BLM hooked you guys up and the road is passable now. they say its still rough but passable. Have fun out there. Happy New Years!!!!! Quote
bennieben1 Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 did the rain and wind last night destroy the entrance again Quote
BigRed350x Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 From the looks of that video you guys out there need bigger lift kits and bigger tires. lol! I'd stay and play in the river for a bit before I went to the dunes... Quote
