banshee for raptor

I have a chance to join the ranks of a banshee owner. I have a 03 raptor w the basic protection pipe jet kit filter etc. I found a guy that want to trade me his 06 banshee with exhaust and jet kit. He was asking for 2400 for the quad. How does this sound to you guys.

well....check it over nice and good.....broken/bent frame...good compression....anything look out of place? Then compare it to your raptor......which one looks cleaner (as in overall longterm maintenance). or take someone with you who knows motors but doesn't know quads.....ask them which one they would choose. or hell you could even load up both his and your quad and take them out to a riding spot and each take a crack at the other guys ride....see if its what you want and see how it runs.

that is prolly a pretty even swap...raptors are not pulling much coin these days and an 06 shee is tits

rappys are cool and i always wanted one till i bought my 99 banshee. i have rode a raptor with mild mods and it doesnt even come clost to the power my banshee has, i think you will love it just look it over real good. feel the motor and make sure its cold. you shouldnt have to kick your guts out to get it to start. i would pull the plugs to get a view on how it really runs. good luck

It would depend if you are a 4 stroke guy or a 2 stroke guy I would trade if it looks good and runs good.

Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and did it and just got home with my new to me 06 banshee. I think I'm addicted already.

Congrats!! and welcome to the BHQ.....as a true owner. Now the next problem is resisting the urge......to modify and modify. kinda like the energizer bunny.

i have a black SE 06 banshee, bought it pretty much new bone stock, and had all my mods blacked out so it still looks stock. do the trade i HATE raptors they are so top heavy, they feel like a fast blaster to me. DO IT.
