  1. You had it about two weeks before you even said anything about it....You never said what you wanted done about it and frankly its too late now because you already sent the jugs to be bored, there is no way to even tell if the parts I would get back are the ones you bought.....Like I said nothing I say will make you happy
  2. I was away all last week I am not going to deal with things like this on my vacation. You send texts at 11 o clock at night...normal people are sleeping and this is why i do not respond because you do not show respect to the people you contact at late hours I will not answer. An engine is a mechanical device and now have bored it out or whatever and altered it already so no I will not take it back in pieces. Its already been weeks since you got it. The parts are worth what you paid if you part it out, or you can put it back together your way. If ur going to buy a complete engine just to take it apart you should have just bought the parts and built it yourself. Nothing I am going to say will make you happy and you are already continuing to do something with it so your concern must not be that important.
  3. I appreciate all the kind words, three bond was used and yes, it does get everywhere and seaps into spots, but it will not effect that engine running, you told me that the bearings were "frozen" yet the motor kicked all day before you left with it so they are not frozen. IT has been sitting probably a year on my bench i did not build it overnight and dump it on you. They are stock 64mm virgin cylinders sold to me by "hank" on this board. They are brand new 64mm namura pistons - nothing is wrong with the cylinders or pistons. you did a leak down and bought it . you could have left it there and walked away. If it was still entact i would have no issue taking it back, but once someone else's wrenches touch it, i will not do anything that is how this hobby is. I do not call the guy i buy bikes from that break the next day because it the motor blew up. The motor has not been run if the three bond is an issue and you are rebuilding it anyway, just peel it off i know there is nothing wrong with the crank - purchased bottom end from "Phelps". The motor was a spare for me and supposed to be for you as well no reason you cant rebuild it with the sealant of your choice or use the parts how you wish. I would have run that engine, now it is apart there is no way to prove its validity. A week ago you said you were going to have the cylinders ported so there was no issues with them then, now there are. All of the parts are used and were all purchased from this forum if you have an issue with me lying then others have lied to me.
  4. sounds like you need bigger mains like 270's but thats just me
  5. id trade a raptor for that nice of a shee any day....nice looking ride, good luck with it....if it aint broke dont fix it, just have fun with it for now
  6. did you jack up the rear and move the axle why it is in the air? if it wobbles then you need rear bearings....very common item that wears out causing a wobble it may not be the axle, but the bearings inside the axle housing
  7. a full tear down and rebuild of your engine plus shipping it out will be a pretty penny......you can take it apart yourself depending on your ability and go through it, but that piece of piston skirt went somewhere.........or you can find a used engine for about a g.....look in for sale.....and drop that in to get you going! I have one for sale for $875 listed in for sale....may just be the cheaper way to go then a business and labor charges although i recommend any of the site sponsors they all do great work...
  8. go with what you know, and the shee may be cheaper, but the yfz are getting lower........its two different ends of the sport quad realm......2 stroke mixing gas and oil and tuning...or get on and go four stroke....up to you both should be fun ...i think its easier to mod the shee being a simpler engine
  9. I have a 96 Stock motor Stock Bore & Stroke - Cases are a 96 Top end was from another bike - virgin cylinders 64mm bore fresh hone w/namura pistons - Stock Head - Complete minus carbs - Has newer plug stator and flywheel - This is a drop after some reed gaskets - all tolerances where mic'd out and torqued to spec I had this as a spare engine in case anything were to happen to my bike, its just going to sit so i want it gone (sold my shee) needs: reed gaskets, outer water pump cover (the plastic one), and a dipstick $875 Located in Central Jersey Pick up Preferred + shipping if you want it shipped Please email: MThomsen73@yahoo.com as I dont get on here much I can send pics through the email, ill try and get one on here soon
  10. The carbs are OK and plenty for a ported 4 mil but you will need to re jet whenever you change especially to a stroker.
  11. Having a ported 421 engine is going to have that effect of on off, especially with drag pipes, how much milder do you want to go is the question. Sounds like your better off building a milder engine or sell your set up and get a toned down bike.....
  12. Yup send it out to Matt, quality work.. www.socalsuspensionsystems.com
  13. My link PM me an offer, I will hook hq members up I built it from the ground up and have not ridden it yet, its been completely redone ...just not that useful or me looking or a grizzly 660 or 700
  14. I have 34 mm mikuni flatsides right now and just cant tune this thing......looking to get a more common carb what do u guys recommend Mods: 64.5mm 4 Mill short rod, drag ported (wildcard), FMF gnarlys in PC silencers
  15. Looking for a set of plus 2 J arms........PM me what ya got
  16. TTT - Make offers, dont be afraid to insult me I want it gone
  17. $130 shipped comes with 20cc domes, will clean up nice
  18. Yea its all about whats in your price range, the only difference over the years was the control arms that makes any difference the A Arm / J arm change. Try to buy one with some nice clean mods that you are looking for to save you some money! You can ride the hell out of any bike you get its just about maintenance and work you put into it. You will need to go over anything you get anyway..... look to pay around 2000 for a decent shee in good working order with maybe pipes and some small mods

  21. another victim.......dum da dum dum duuummmmm
  22. yes it should be that you are .20 over .50mm larger The side to side play is normal.....there is room for a slight wiggle, but there are measurable tolerances for this play if you want to see if your within spec.
  23. X2 you are not building up enough compression to fire up.....only fires when compression is forced do a compression check to verfiy but its 98% positive u need a rebuild
