LilShee Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 What size tires do you guys run. I am mainly using this banshee for trails and a little show off. Right now it has 20's on it but i want to go bigger. If i go 21 or 22 would i need to change my sprockets. i have 14 in the front and 41 in the back. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 If you like your gearing now, you would need a lower ratio with larger tires to keep it near the same. Quote

Pasi S. Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 With 22"´s I would go with 13-42 gearing. Works great for me. Quote
Michael Jackson Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 its your bike, but i would really urge you not to put 22 inch rear tires on a banshee if you do, grab a 13tooth front sprocket and throw it on every time you put the 22's on, cut that plastic away from around the front sprocket so you can change it easily without taking the cover off, then it only takes a couple mins to change sprockets, no taking off gear shifters and shit Quote
VictorK Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 I have 22s and personally rather run 20s even in the woods. I say 20s in back and 21 or 22 fronts. remember we all have a riding style some different then others, I like 9 inch rear rims for trails because 10s always get ruined for me and 22s have too much side wall flex. I started on 3 wheelers so I like to power slide and the 22s dont feel right doing that. you need to consider your style and how your going to be riding the bike, two guys can ride the same exact trail but go through it differently you know what I mean? LilShee Posted May 11, 2010 Author Report Posted May 11, 2010 My fronts are 21 7r 10 and my backs are 20*11-9. I Have yet to take it down our trails. It should be good I just want more meat back there. I need to get the swingarm skid as this bike don't have one. Looking through alot of ur guys pics it seems u don't either. I'm scared I'll hang up on something and completely Jack my shit up Quote

I also dont run a swingarm skid plate, I just pay attention while i am riding and avoid big rocks or other objects directly under my swingarm. But shit happens. Quote
Michael Jackson Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 But shit happens. thats why i run one and the only time it hangs up is in the snow Quote
LilShee Posted May 12, 2010 Author Report Posted May 12, 2010 Lol with my luck I know I'll have that swingarm ripped out from under me. Where I ride is very rocky. Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Are you running a stock swing arm? I have a skid plate you can have if you pay the shipping. Quote
