i sent him this..

hi i am interested in your 140mph yamaha banshee. it looks pretty good but i have some questions first. how do you know it will go 140mph? did you run it next to a car or take it to a drag strip? do you have any times for it or maybe a picture of the gps? the reason im asking is cuz my friend has a 2003 yamaha warrior that he says will go 125mph and i want something that will beat that. are you 100% sure it will go 140mph? if so, i will come get it tomorrow. i just wanna make sure that i can beat him with it. also does it have a boost bottle? my other friend with a blaster told me that he boost bottles are really good for the banshees. is that true? is that how come you can get it to go 140mph? also where did the carb come from? that thing must be really nice for $700. what is a 2 into 1? does it have 2 carbs? my friend told me that banshees should have 2 carbs to be able to go past 100mph. anyway get back to me asap cuz im supposed to race my friend this weekend if i can find something to beat him on. thanks.

thats what gets me the most about ads like that. 'cause you know some poor goober off the streets that's new to the sport is gonna buy it thinkin it really does go that fast. but as said, if you're stupid enough to buy it then you deserve the dissapointment of finding out that it barely goes 70.....maybe 80mph. the worst is when the people that claim those speeds have been reached, truly believe it and wont let anybody tell them they're wrong. banghead:lol:

his response...

the boost bottle helps responce for dual carb motors only the dual carbs are only 22mm intake there fore when u have 2 carbs u have 2 sync them right and with that done u only get a quarter of the power at top end with 1 34 mm carb u get a equal amount of fule and air mixture to each cylinder cus its a 180 degree crank design there fore no bost botle is required all it does is keep suction on the intake and compression stroke so it gets more fule with a dual carb motor which makes it run to ritch which causec the rings to stick in the ring lands and in long run the rings stick to the piston and u have no compression and have to tare it down but in most ive seen the top ring ends up going over the top of the piston and and guals the cylinder wall but i drag raced it at the tri county dirt drags and it runs a 1/8 in 4.32 and a 1/4 mile in 11.32 but the banshee is gone i tradded it for a 250ex for my girl and 500 cash so sory but i haven had i net for a week to take it off

thats exactly what i was thinking while tryin to read it. haha

so its true then, single carb setup is better than duals? and a boost bottle only works for dual carbs? sure wish i wouldnt have sold my boost bottle........it was a shiny one too! ............... :rotflmao:
