SRHBRO951 Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 I NEED TO BUY SOME CARBS AND EVERY ONE IS TELLING ME TO RUN KEIHIN WHAT DO U GUYS PROFER Quote
DallasGDub Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Keihin. Very solid carb. Never had issues out of mine on any bike. What size are you needing? I have some polished 28mm w/cable for sale. They are the biggest you can use with stock boots. Quote
bansheeseat$$ Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 I only use Keihins on my shee's but if you are going to run alky I would go with lectrons. Quote

coronakidd Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 on a gas motor i run 35pwk keihin,on my alky drag bike i run mukuni i like both carbs its alot easier to tune in the keihins but i think you can get a finer more precise tuning out of the mukunis they take alot more work to get them right but when there right they run good. both run good and are good carbs just which ever you get used to working on (tuning in)i always run pwk but k&t built my drag bike and he only uses mukunis so thats what i got and they do real good Quote

Both for me take the same amount of tuning (not any harder from one to the other), and they both are setup similar. The only real huge difference is the slide shape. I tend to use the mikunis more, cause I have all the jets, and I know all the specs on the TM flatslides. Quote
2/2 many banshees Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Both great carbs. I'm running sum 34 mm PJ's right now and find them very easy to tune Quote
banshee_terror_ Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 28pwk's... i ♥ my keihins Quote
Snopczynski Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 I had a guy come over yesterday and I gave him the choice of tm or pwk, and he chose the TM. So I think you'll be happy either way. Quote
dragbanshee98 Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 i am a keihin guy as well... changed from flat slide mikuni carbs to keihin 35pwk carbs and have not had a problem since Quote
