Word of advice, measure the length of the spring before you cut it, cut small amount off(one -two coils) then stretch spring out to previous length so that slides will close. Go a little at a time. Be sure to take equal amount from both coils! Or you could get a throttle extender.

Try an extended thumb throttle also. I just ordered one from cascade's website because my hand always hurts after about 30 minutes of riding

I run the mod quad extended lever and it helps quite a bit. Its a nice unit.

But all in all, the more you ride the more your thumb gets worked in!

Here is a pic of mine if you want to see.

Here is what i did to make my throttle a little more liveable:

I removed the spring inside the the throttle housing (the pwk carb spring is more then enough{With both my orginal dual setup and my current single}) and bent the thumb pad to a better suited position. Been riding with it like that for two years now with no problems.

If you want to make your springs softer dont cut the coils off. You need to take a grinder to them and grind down the out side of them. Make the wire thiner. If they are Keihin carbs you could also buy a set of ez springs from jeff at fast. I have them in my PWK 33's and it is softer than stock.

grind down the outside of the spring  that would be interesting to do

Yep hold it in your hand and start spinning it. You need to make the diameter of the wire that the spring is made up of smaller to make it softer. Cutting coils off will still have a hard thumb throttle at wot.

Try the FAST easy pull carb springs, they made my 35,s easier than the stock carbs.

installed them in my 34's. i also removed the throttle return spring in the throttle housing.

i cant believe how light the throttle is...kind of scary lol
