  1. After taking it apart it was obvious that my connecting rod gave out, it was split in half. Half still on the piston, and half on the crank. And thanks i'm real happy with how it turned out.
  2. It took me almost a year but i got her up and running again!!! anyways here are the new pics
  3. Is the thumb stiff or does it have too much travel? which one do you have? thanks for the reply.

  6. maybe if i had a herr jugs motor it would still be running!!! :biggrin: well my luck just got worse i got laid off at work because im hurt and i cant really work yet ( im a construction superintendent) and construction is really slow so this could not have happened at a worse time. .... anyways im parting out my bike for now everything must go! let me know if your interested. thanks guys
  7. with a 4 mil what kind of power will i be pushing and will it be top end or low , all across the band, how will it affect driving conditions, trails, dunes , mtn, jetting, . . .sorry for all the questions, thanks guys.
  8. so not only did i blow the motor in the banshee but the next day on my wifes quad i recked and fractured three vertabraes and tore the muscles and tendons in my hip.....not a good weekend!
  9. i bought the bike with this motor already in it and he was'nt sure of all the specs. i do know k&t built it about four years ago. so i took it to them and he said he remembered the bike but not anything specific, he made it sound like he did mild motor work nothing too amazing. what i do know: cool head, reeds, 33?mm flatsides, cpi inframes,racing clutch and other non motor stuff, sorry i dont know more about it but i soon will. :cool:

  11. i tried and that brought it down to 4 k but it promps me to ask the administrator to check the settings and permissions. any ideas?

  14. so i went riding to one of my usual spots, its a mix of sand and dirt. the bike was running great no new sounds or power loss i was roosting a dune when right in the middle of it i heard a loud PING and the bike shut off . i jumped off and the case has a hole on the right cyclinder above the lower half of the case and below the cylinders so just the top half of the case split open. the other thing i noticed was one of the coil wires came off . . . . :: could that actually cause this? thanks guys.

  19. so i got rid of my return spring in the trottle housing, and i modded the springs in the carbs. what a differance that made. Thanks guys for your input. :beer:
  20. awhile back i remember reading in the fourms somewhere about a 450 fourstroke banshee, the guy had pics and all. i tried to search for it but nothing came up. just have to see it again!!!
  21. I've never taken my carbs apart, and dont have a problem doing it. but is there any settings or adjustments that i need to pay attention to when taking the springs out, or do they come out with the caps? Thanks.

  23. if i take some of the windings will it affect anything besides pressure . . . before anybody recomends it i did buy a twist throttle and hated it .....thanks guys :beer:
