#1JUANstunna Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Ok guys, someone fill me in on this. I used to drag race and my Blaster and the Banshee I raced both had override/cut trannies. What is the difference in a duneable and racing override? My trannies were done by Tyson Racing in MI. Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 With a duneable, you do not need to come to a complete stop to downshift... Quote
00tbanshee Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 most say that just the dunables have the springs on the shifter fork shafts and other say that the dogs are cut at a different tapper. Quote
#1JUANstunna Posted April 24, 2009 Author Report Posted April 24, 2009 I see. So you don't have to go to fifth before downshifting on the duneable either. Quote
sheerider1026 Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 i just went with a dunable overide.. it works just like a stock tranny except for the WOT clutchless upshifting!! don't be afraid to get one.. after riding with mine i love it.. but time will tell i guess. Quote

sheerider1026 Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 yep, you can fan the clutch.. just can't backload it over 8k rpm.. its not as bad to ride as you think. i got use to it after about 10 minutes of riding Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 At this point, I will never go back to a stock transmission. Neutral down is a very nice feature as well. I love my N1-5... Quote
sheerider1026 Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 yep . n1-5 dunable is what i have also.. i love it.. got it from HJR... not many guys have HJR's tranny.. mine works awesome. Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 I have an HJR override as well. Worth the coin. Quote
RagunCajun Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 I got a N-down 1-5 dunable. Only thing i dont like is no 6th. But with the right power, gearing and set up. You dont need it. Clutchless shifting just feels so damn good. It's hard for me to shift from 1st to N but if i give it a little rev or completely stop it goes down like butter. Quote
#1JUANstunna Posted April 24, 2009 Author Report Posted April 24, 2009 I bet a duneable tranny would be sweet trail riding. Find a big ass hill and let her rip through the gears like it's nobodys business. Does anyone run a duneable tranny and trail ride in the woods? Quote

Does anyone run a duneable tranny and trail ride in the woods? I have a dunable 1-6 and its the SHIT funny thing is I bought my banshee for work LOL and as it sits right now I dont want to take it to work I messed up and did a drag port for trail riding lol lockup clutch the 1-6 is awesome though! I am a ditch rider In Wa which basicly means I have no time for myself! so I drive the truck around all day or I decide and ride the shee around all day! the shee is a blast but on roads 8FT wide it gets to be a pain in the ass! so I cant wait to get the new top end on there lol Quote

Man, when u guna come to the dunes so I can reverse this damn picture? lol I have a 1-5 stock neutral dunable that is the shit, I love mine I put in the drag bike. Id like to try it in the trail bike too! N down would be the way to go tho, I need that next time around! Quote
