someone told me at the motor sport shop when my main jetting was getting to big it would not rev out clean to the top. i started at 210 and i'm up to 330's and it still runs like crazy should i keep putting bigger jets in? the bike has a 2 into 1 pipe on it, pro flow filter kit,no air box lid,80 over, boysen reeds, and namura pistons.

I disagree that it is fat without knowing all of the need to know information such as elevation? I think the way you are doing it can get you in ballpark but it won't get you dialed in completely.

Well, considering I have (basically) the same mods and am @ sea level, in cold weather and am still not at a 330, I'd venture to say thats a little fat, unless hes in New Orleans in 32 Degree weather

Thats FAT!!! I would stop there and check your plugs

i looked at my plugs and i can't tell what's going on they dont have any color on the base around the strap that comes out over the ceramic, but the strap has a chocolate brown color to it. i may not be riding it long enough i'm limited in space i've got about 100 yards to ride it wide open, what do you think?

i just run mine down the road wen i check my plugs. just make sure you run it WOT all the way thru 6th then shut down and pull in clutch and stop and read them. ill put a link in that explains it more. i dont cut my plugs as i see that a waste of time wen i can just look down in the plug and see wats goin on.

here is the link

Not to argue with you but just because you have similar mods doesnt mean anything humidity, elevation and weather have just as much to do with it. I run 420 jets at 3500 feet and it is maybe a tad lean. Bikes run different so his jetting is going to be different.

If you are running too rich it will splutter before the powerband and you will usually have to slip the clutch a bit to get it onto the pipe

That 2 into 1 pipe is going to make it hard to figure out whats going up top. Run it wot for a long straight stretch, shut it off, pull in the clutch, and stop. Check the plugs and see what they tell you.

i'm going to try that.i'm scared i'll blow it up if i run it like that for long,it acts like it going to twist out of its mind,it just keeps pulling.i'll run it till i think it can't stand no more and check the plugs like you said, this is my first banshee i really don't know what kind of rpms it can take?
