  5. i think its a personal thing myself i've had a twist on a 250r and now my banshee and i love them, all i do is trail ride and yes sometimes the twist will get you in a bind but overall it probably depends on your seat time and preference.these guys are right the thumb is safer but i cant stand the thumb pump you get from it and i always liked to have something a little different from everybody else which aint always a good thing.

  9. i recently had this same problem,i set my float to .825 and it still leaked.so i took the bowl off and hooked the fuel line to the carb and turned the gas on and pushed the float up to close the valve and it still leaked.so i took an old float valve a had left over from my rebuild ,put it in and no more leaks, maybe you have the same problem.i bought my rebuild kit from napa, maybe its a cheap kit or something!
  10. where can i get a gear case vent?mine is missing.its the vent under the rear motor mount.
  11. i have an 87 banshee with just a few mods, timing advance, and some 80over namura pistons, will the 34 pj's be to much carb for this bike?

  14. can anybody help me with my carbs i recently rebuilt them and they both leak out the over flow tubes:they leaked before i rebuilt them.ive checked the float height and its 20mm,ive also ran it lower and it still leaks could there be something missing,i'm sure the bowl screws are tight and the screw that drains the fuel from the bowl is tight,so any help?
  15. i bought a dura blue axle off ebay and my stock axle lock nuts wont fit, and my hubs wont seat up all the way on the axle plus the nuts that hold the hubs on are bigger than stock, can anybody tell me what parts i need to get?i'm not sure which axle i have but i think its the heavy duty axle that dura blue offers.
  16. i run them in mine and they run good from what i can tell,i'm satisfied.seem like they make good power.
  17. i need an after market shoc, i will even send for a rebuild if i have to,what you got?
  18. well thats a great idea ive been running my tires like that for years, heres the only draw back i can tell from it.run the bike on pavement at 6psi and run them at 3psi and you will notice the difference in drag that the low air pressure creates.so if your on dirt or what ever, you need to find the happy medium between traction and air pressure to go the fastest.try it you'll see what i'm talking about, you can feel the drag but great traction.
  19. whats the width of my stock axle on an 87 banshee?
  20. thanks i looked at that valve kit thats cool!
  21. i talked to a guy at the motor sport shop and he said you can not rebuild the stock shock is this true?if you can rebuild it please recommend someone for me to get in touch with.
  22. i think i will after reading these post,i bought some br9es plugs today and it ran a lot better.i could tell a difference after i got the bike warmed up and made a few wot passes, when i used to get the thing warm the power on the top end would seem like it never was hardly as stout as the first run i made but the br9es plugs made the difference it was there every time i made a pass, it felt the same.
  23. anybody ever run champion plugs in there banshee?if so what the number on the plug you ran and did you like them?
