sinisterboo Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 I like the little flip up hide-away headlight on those bikes. But bear in mind, I also rock a semi-mullet, LOL Quote
PACIFIC NW BANSHEE Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Me and T-shee are driving 10 hours round trip to pick up a 87 tecate 4 tomorrow. From what I have seen it is in very good condition, the guy says it is in great shape. It needs a rear brake caliper and an airfilter. I know these are very hard to find. Would it be possible to trade it heads up for a banshee? Should I just hang on to it? I just picture me rolling it down a hill and looking for parts for the rest of my life. BURN IT AND COLLECT THE INSURANCE MONEY Quote

Keyser Soze Posted February 1, 2009 Author Report Posted February 1, 2009 Well me and T-shee picked it up today. Its in fair shape for the year. It for sure needs a kicker, shift shaft, throttle cable. The guy told me it was in great shape. After 5 hours of driving thru appilacia I arrive and then find out it is in average shape. I never would have made the drive if I would have known. The guy lived on a road hardly wide enough for one car, tuff to get to...it gets better. "Yea Quote

locogato11283 Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 since it wasnt in great shape, how much did you give him for it? Quote
peterlocal22 Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 I know a guy that we selling this one completely rebuilt for $1500 good deal looks mint Quote
Keyser Soze Posted February 1, 2009 Author Report Posted February 1, 2009 since it wasnt in great shape, how much did you give him for it? I traded that quadzilla with a old Honda CB360 motor in it for it. It needed a bunch of work, the frame had some pretty questionable welds. I traded some other junk to get the honzilla, basically I started of with a old 1980 yamaha TT250 dirtbike that I got for free and traded up. I think between gas and a few odds and ends I have $200 bucks in it. I could not believe it the guy did have all of his teeth, he was only 18 tho. I dont know how many of you have been to far eastern kentucky but it is amazing how they can put a trailer ANYWHERE. There were trailers out top of moutains, in hill sides, the dudes known about setting up trailers for sure. Me and T-shee will be fixing it up, will keep you guys posted. Quote
T_Shee Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 got her pretty well tore down. everything looks pretty decent other than some neglect and stupidity. that one in the pic is sweet, ours will never be that nice but it will make a good backup for when one of the shees brakes. yeah the kentuckian did have his teeth. add that to his 3rd grade edyukashin and hes the complete package.
