recent rebuild and its loosing cooland but i dont see ovios leakage anywhere and its fouling plugs like a mother.

i think its the head gaskets but the plugs always look great and always identical

u guys got any idas

well i think its pretty obvious whats going on. sounds like you have a bad head gasket. losing coolant, but you cant see it? its going into the cylinder and fouling your plugs.

you got white, sweet smelling smoke comin out your exhaust?

i think you need to pull the head and replace the gasket.

k i got the heads pulled and one pistons kinda black all over and the other has some clean spots on it where the intake ports are the second one seemed like one of the nuts was loose and there was a spot on the gasket that looks suspisios.so im gettin new gaskets. is it bad to have these clean spots on the piston? mayby that cylenders running too hot.

or could that be the coolent causing it to burn funny?

It sounds like coolant was getting into your cylinder and you'll be ok to clean the piston, but be sure to put some 2 stroke oil on the cylinder walls and piston crown so everything stays nice and lubed when you fire it back up.

Also heat cycle the motor a couple of times before taking it out for a spin..

Start it, warm it fully up and shut her down. Let it cool completely, re-torque the head and repeat this process a couple more times that way you can be sure that the gasket will seal and the head is torqued down properly.

Also do some investigation into why the gasket leaked in the first spot, look for clean spots in-between the water jackets and combustion chamber. Because you don't want to have to pull the head again to find out you missed a little burr of metal on the cylinder or something.

still got the stock heads and i havent cleaned the pistons one of them had clean spots on it when i poped the heads so i don know if thats a sign of getting hot or could it be preignition cousing it?

take a picture of your pistons and post it.

preignition (detonation) will also cause your plugs to back out, ground straps to colapse, and many other exciting things; we're they loose when you went to remove them?

still it sounds like you had a head gasket leak.

how long did you run it for with it doing this?

i was able to get it up and doun the road several times on a set of plugs then id have to change em i did this several times.

im pretty sure it was the head gaskets so its gettin new gaskets cause i popped the heads anyway.

the spark plugs have always seemed to be a hell of a lot tighter when i take em out than when i put em in, i think im gonna start putting copper anti- seize on em cause their really tight when they come out.
