fck55mph Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 Hello all!! I have a 96 with FMF exhaust,Vforce 3's and a kick ass huge boost bottle(kidding!!). I have all the parts and tools here for the +4 advance mod but wanted opinions to see if this is a safe mod for my ride. Everything else is stock(head, stroke, etc) with the exception of a rebuild a year ago with wiseco's. I also have it jetted for the pipes and all and she runs awesome now...just looking for the "go ahead" for this next mod...Thanks!! Quote
BUILDER Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 go ahead You will be happy with that mod when you are done. Quote
dajogejr Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 By all tools...you mean the correct thread in fly wheel puller, right? And yes...well worth that mod. Quote
dirtfreak Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 +4 is what im adjusted to , it will wake it up some. Quote

BansheeRider87 Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 what size can u run with race gas and without? Quote
firebanshee Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 what size can u run with race gas and without? 21cc dome at sea level is safe for 93 octane pump gas, anything smaller than that at sea level you need to start mixing race fuel with 93 octane and about 19cc dome at sea level you should start running straight race or av gas 100LL. But if your bike is bored out bigger that also plays a role in your compression because your are commpressing more air with a larger cylinder.I have found that if your bike is bored to 100 over running a 22cc dome is like running a 19cc one a smaller bore motor. This only applies to small bore domes.Just my expierence not an exact science though. fck55mph Posted December 23, 2008 Author Report Posted December 23, 2008 I guess my next add-on will be the Pro-Design head. Should I just go ahead with 21cc domes or pull a compression check first? The head seems to be a very reasonable priced mod...does it help alot? Quote
dajogejr Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 I would get a Noss Head or a Chariot head. Both are site sponsors, both don't require longer head studs. It will give you a noticeable kick in the pants with a compression increase... Quote
fck55mph Posted December 23, 2008 Author Report Posted December 23, 2008 Will do..thanks for the advice. I didn't even think that of the fact that they are site sponsors. Definitely want to kick the business their way. Like I said, am I good to go with 21cc's or should I do the check first? I want to be able to run on 93 pump fuel. Quote
dajogejr Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 I would say 21cc and you should be fine. Quote
BlasterKX Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 i think you have to find out what your comp. is, what your bore is, and what your elevation is. then when you talk to whoever about the head tell em what all that is and they should be able to help you out finding the right domes and then your jets if you have to rejet. ive been trying to pull the extra cash together for new rings and a noss head with 20 or 21cc domes. my elevation is 530. good luck to ya man  Quote
jimbob Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 i did a +4 on my last banshee and was very surprised with the results. crack on Quote
