  1. get a peice of tubing and reduce it down a couple of sizes and let it exit behind the engine somewhere.
  2. oooooooooo the suspense is killling me
  3. its supposed to be like that, its new hone and helps to seat the rings
  4. im only looking to do a +4 advance. ive seen a "how to" on here some where and cant find it isnt it something like 1mm=1* oh and thanks for the "inspirational comments" magz :: lol
  5. could some one please point me in the direction of a thread where it show/explains how to do the diy slotting on the stock timing plate? yes im a cheap skate and i bought a degree key and YES my banshee chewed it to little tiny small peices 5 minutes after unloading it from the trailer, BUT in my defence ANY decent banshee performance parts have to be imported here from the US and the adj timing plate not on the list of "important" things at the minute.
  6. just a quick bump. put a new K&N in today with some new plugs (br8) and a fresh mix of valvoline @ 36;1 and its running like a psycho and wheelies on the throttle from nowhere in 4th. thanks all for your advice AGAIN
  7. its called yamabond. and to try and split the cases while its still in the frame is just bone lazy man lol , it only takes 4 bolts to get the engine out anyway
  8. check out wot their fetching on ebay and your local auto trader and make your decision from there. thats wot i do when im not too sure,
  9. yeah i would defo recommend porting, i had a pretty stock shee last year and i thought it was the nuts, i did a couple of little things like vf3's +4's and pods with outerwears and it blow most 4 bangers away, i got this new one wuth paul turner porting and huge carbs and its f*cking insane
  10. now that is a cool idea. those air boxes are a pain in the arse to get in and out. mine even more so becuase of the billet intake and bigger carbs.
  11. bin the filter man and get a K&N
  12. yeah your right man consider my wrists well and truly slapped, as for the plugs yeah they were black as hell, but sometimes ya cant see the woods for the trees tho lol. too busy trouble shooting and fault finding rather than the common sense approach, buti know now the plugs are 2 hot and i have been skimping a little on the 2 stroke i love my banshee again lol
  13. ok get this. went down the garage today. same plugs same fuel, took the airfilter off and it ran like a f*cking MISSILE, airfilter is/was a K&N but its that old its not the normal reddy puirple colour its BLACK,
  14. oh yeah there is one thing i forgot to add, the K&N is pretty f*cked now aswell so thats probably not helping the situation much, so new oil new filter new plugs and a slightly leaner mix should see us ok. thanks again all, your golden nuggets of wisdom are beyond value and much appreciated
  15. yeah a few ppl have said this but when it runs clean it goes like a stabbed rat easily wheelies thru the powerband in 3rd, could it be a jetting issue? ile try leaning the mix out and a cooler plug and get back to you guys
  16. was it sparking before you started taking things off?
  17. ok thanks ile get some top end stuff, dont think we can get hold of klotz or anything like that here in the uk
  18. excellent guys, thanks for you help and speedy replies, ile go and give it a shot 2mora with the right plugs and some castrol or rock oil
  19. i really havent gopt a cluie when it comes to plugs. have i been running cold plugs?
  20. shee was doing it when i first got her but put it down to old plugs, changed plugs and it did it again so ever the optimist i put it down to bad plugs, then i stripped and rebuilt the top end with new pistons and afresh rebore (65mm) went out on her yesterday for an hour shee runs perfect and goes like a stabbed rat with a new set in but not for long it fouled 3 sets of brand new plugs in less than an hour, im using BP6ES and ive also tried B8EGV it fouled them too, im premixing at 32;1 with a decent quality oil (texaco) am i running plugs that are too "cold"? or is it a jetting issue. my mods are listed in my sig
  21. ive had a few of the tweisties and i hate them with a vengance, their a nightmare for arm pump. its not like im not used to twisties either coz ive been a biker all my life and also have an 05 repsol fireblade but theres just something fundamentaly wrong about a twisty on a quad
  22. yeah i had read sumwhere that vf3's were more for top end bikes and mines more of a low to mid as most bashees are really. BUT i did have vf3'son my last shee which wanst asmodified as this one and i thought they were great, throttle response was almost telepathic, i would have to have chariots imported here to the uk too and it could see a set of decently pricedreeds into an expensive pain in the arse as we get charged an import tax on anything over
