DEATH OF THE BANSHEE

Ever since the banshee was dropped in 06 due to government regulations i assume, What is going to be the new "banshee" of 2008 and beyond? I mean should i start buying up banshee's as they come available? Is Yamaha going to continue to produce frames, motors and parts etc... Or am i chasing a dying dream with the banshee? Is there another quad that packs so much in so little, that is so easy to work on that's going to take it's place? I have always been a banshee fan and hate to see it go. But what's next should i start looking at Raptor 660's and move my passion on to something that's going to be more readily available? What is the new hottest thing going? I have never looked passed the banshee so I don't know what i should focus on or what's the newest machine on the market to have and upgrade.. ? I hate to focus and spend a lot on something that's only going to get harder to obtain and operate.. I know there will always be aftermarket parts but is the availability of complete machines to upgrade going to make it un-reasonable to actually pursue since it has been discontinued? I guess one of my questions is what are all the die hard banshee people going to since the banshee has got it's pink slip..? And i also wonder if the banshee being discontinued will drive up the price of pre-owned units..? And why would Yamaha discontinue such a unit that has always produced numbers and sold well and was a flagship of the quad line..? I guess i just dont get it..??????? It doesnt make since to me.. I have always been in love with the banshee and really hate to see it go but what is the future of this legacy of Quads?????? I dont plan on giving up on the banshee and will always own one but really dont know what direction to go, look to the new line of Quads or stock up on shee parts and frames.

Until just recently, Honda made almost every 250R part, years after the model was axed. Yamaha has not changed hardly anything on the banshee over the course of production, do you really think Yamaha is going to stop making parts for a cash cow like the banshee?

EDIT:

the banshee died at the creation of raptor plastics that fit them.raptor plastics killed the banshee.
That is funny!

I was actually told by the guy at the yamaha shop by me that yamaha was not going to make banshee parts after they ran out of what they had in stock that were already made which is what led to this post. Yamaha of Texas 817-285-9999 Thats what made me start thinking bout this whole deal.... When i get in to somthing i invest lots and lots of time and money so it was a genuine concern.
