  1. Maxxis iRazrs. Not the longest wearing tyres out there, but they work extremely well in all conditions I've found.
  2. Honestly, why do you need a tacho on your Banshee? Personally, I can hear my revs so I know when to shift. Also, do you ever think you'll look at it while your belting down a trail? I know I don't take my eyes off the trail when I'm riding, no way I'd look at a tacho.
  3. Excellent, thanks! Will be installing them this weekend, a bargain at $60 too!
  4. Excellent. I'll need to double check they are YFZ calipers and not Raptor ones, because he told me that Raptor 700 and YFZ have same calipers. Thanks dudes
  5. Hi everyone, I did a quick search but couldn't really find what I was looking for. A mate of mine bought some Raptor 700 twin piston brake calipers (which are apparently the same as YFZ brakes), to fit to his 660 Raptor. He sold that and bought a 700 Raptor, so no longer needs the brakes...but he tells me they will bolt straight onto a Banshee. If they do, I'll buy them. Simple question, do they fit?? Thanks
  6. Not happening. Car and bike manufacturers normally produce spare parts for a discontinued model for a number of years after. They sell brand new 2009 Banshee's here in Australia, so I can't see it happening for a very long time.
  7. I can work out the price. Find a box that will fit the plastics, measure that up....put the plastics in and weigh it. I'll need the dimensions, weight and your post code, and I can work out how much the cost is if you like. I just need you to tell me how much you want for the plastics
  8. Hi everyone, Chasing a blue rear fender. Looking for one that has no damage and hasn't been race cut. I am in Australia but WILL pay shipping costs. Thanks
  9. Great idea....you first I'll try and get a photo this weekend....didn't take a side shot at the time! Not sure of the weight of the tyres, but I know they are a lot lighter than my paddles, they are Maxxis iRazr's.
  10. Okay, I did a search and couldn't find anything...which is surprising, because I can normally find everything else I need on here  Has anyone ever "half-cut" their rear fenders before? I like the full cut fronts and rears, but I also like non-cut rears. Sooo I thought I'd try something different and half-cut my spare rear fender (which is in fairly poor condition anyway). What do y'all think? I did it with a hacksaw, and will need to sand it down to make the edges nice and smooth, as well as remove the stickers that are on the rear fender. I'm also going to strip the black paint off the rest of my fenders back to blue, remove any stress marks with a heat gun, then buff all the plastics with a restoring compound and buffing wheel...should be good as new I love the way it looks....but for some reason, can't seem to find anyone else who has done it. Thoughts?? Thanks
  11. As the title suggests, I'm chasing a set of IMS Heel Guards. They are out of production, but no other option suits my Roll Design pegs. I'm willing to pay good money for them, as long as they are in good condition. I will also pay for them to be shipped to Australia. Let me know if you have any you want to part with. Thanks!
  12. If you're talking about the pinned thread at the top of this forum, none of the links work.
  13. Hi everyone, Okay. I've searched, and searched, and read..and I've read. I'm still baffled and confused about bolts! It seems that bolt kits for Banshee's are fairly hit and miss, in regards to quality and finish. I don't feel confident in dropping 100 or more clams on a bolt kit that may or may not meet my needs. I especially don't want to buy a bolt kit from eBay, when I live in Australia and metric bolts are everywhere, and a shop that specialises in high quality metric fasteners is only a couple of minutes down the road from my house! It also seems that replacing bolts is a common occurence, as vibrations naturally causes all of us to lose bolts at one point or another. SO, I've looked everywhere for Banshee bolt sizes, as I'm tired of crappy, mismatched bolts on my ride. I checked the Alba website as suggested in another thread and their parts list came up fruitless. My question is. Does ANYONE have a list of bolt sizes used commonly on our Banshee's? If not, maybe we can all pull together and post up bolt sizes for components we've changed or fitted to our Banshee's? I don't mind spending some time pulling bolts and measuring them, but it would be so much quicker if we all did one or two, and put a list together as a group. i.e. if you've replaced a few bolts here and there, post up the location on the bike, and the pitch, length and diameter of the fastener, so we can create a definitive list. In that way, we can avoid having to deal with crappy, high priced, chinese made fasteners, and we can go with a detailed list to our local fastener store and buy the highest quality fasteners available. For everyones assistance, here is a resource with printable charts and info, that makes it really easy to identify fasteners sizes and types. http://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-information/Measuring/ What do you guys think? Good idea, or not? I just think it would be beneficial to everyone and it could work really well if we all chipped in and worked out the sizes for all of the fasteners on our rides. Thanks guys
  14. AC Pro pegs eh? Had a look and they do look extremely nice, with the heel guards too. Exactly what I'm chasing! My only problem is the price...they are $500 here in Aus, but only around $250ish depending where I get them from in the States (plus about $100 to get them here). Is there a recommended vendor that the BansheeHQ crew normally use? I'd rather put my shipping enquiry through them first. Cheers
  15. Hi everyone, Okay my Banshee currently has race cut plastics and IMS Roll Design pegs, as pictured below.. Looks DAMN cool in my opinion, but its also dangerous. I don't want my wife chopping her legs in the rear tyres if she's riding and she slips off the pegs! Now, I have one of five options. 1. Leave it as it is and hope for the best 2. Refit un-cut plastics, stock pegs and stock nerf bars. I don't really want to do this. 3. Try and chase down some IMS Roll Design heel guards, which are rare and out of production. 4. Cut, re-weld and modify the stock nerf bars into heel guards. 5. Fit some off-the-shelf nerf bars. Sounds simple, but from the reading I've done, there aren't many nerf bars which will fit with the IMS pegs. Does anyone have a simple or easy solution to this problem, or know of any nerf bars which are guaranteed to fit with the IMS Roll Design pegs? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for ya help
  16. Compared to my buddies, my 'shee does very well in the dunes. I'd consider it a very "mild" dune setup compared to some, but it works for me. My setup is: Stock stroke .030 over Wiseco pistons 1-2 Single Carb manifold with a single Mikuni flat-slide carb V-Force 3 Reeds Trinity adjustable timing plate Pro-Circuit pipes Paddles Seems to be pretty damn nice in the dunes, it hauls up the sides of most dunes without too much trouble and throws big roosts. I don't know if its just me, but the single carb really seems to get her onto the powerband very quickly! Basically, if you've got a stock Banshee and want to tweak it for the dunes, I think you can't go wrong with the few well chosen bolt-ons.
