I appreciate it. I just wish good people wouldn't get ripped off and/or dicked around so much here lately. Makes me wonder what the f**k is wrong with people that get so complacent about holding up their end of the deal. Its not like when we do business here we have some long drawn out legal contract. Its pretty straight forward. X sends Y money. Y sends X part as promised.

LOL! Close enough -
LMFAO They're juss chillin.

That aint too bad looking. I can see why its nearly $80 though. Theres a lot of wasted aluminum in making that thing. One reason I've never bothered making them. The other is the splines. I'm not too fond of aluminum splines on a steel shift shaft. Let us know how it performs.

noreplacement for displacement
Cotton eyed Joe replied to fast500#12's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Because Horsepower is a derivitave of RPM and Torque. Horsepower is the rate at which torque can be applied. To get torque, the best way is to lengthen your "torque lever arm". Even ever so slight, it adds up due to the relationship between RPM and Torque. The piston does have further to travel, so the RPMs aren't going to be there as easy but the added torque BUILDS more horsepower at the same RPM. Basically Horsepower isn't a tangible thing, but more like the result of an equation. Making your piston bigger will result in a bigger explosion, and "more" power, but the leverage against the crank will be the same. No advantage over the crank except what you can produce in an explosion rather than just lengthening that lever. And it does increase displacement. B x pi x H = Displacement. H is your stroke. B is the bore and pi is 3.1415972. -
Instead of a Purple Heart or a Silver Star, those two should be awarded the Rainbow Triangle. Sean Penn "pulling" people out of NO into his boat....I think there was room for one person in his boat due to the camera crew trying to capture every moment of his quasi heroism. Everytime I see that guy I think of that scene in that movie he made where he played the idiot and he just screams on and on "I AM SAM I AM SAM I AM SAM" . Honestly I was hoping he was going to fall face first into that shitty water and come down with some sort of moron eating bacteria infection.

I was out at the dunes once with a guy that had a K&T ported CR500. Motherflower hauled some serious ass. There was no way in hell I was going to swing a leg over that. Not only that, but the guy had a hell of a time kick starting it.

Like Midnite said. The ignition and lighting coils are seperate from one another. It should tell you what to check in your Clymers manual. I'd just post it, but the good book is at the shop. As far as checking it with a multi meter, I think if you just checked it for voltage you'd see if it was putting out or not. The tail light circuit is good for 4 watts if I remember right. Thats a little over .3 amps at 12 volts. If you cant find any shorted wiring, pull the flywheel and check for some coils with mashed wiring. It uses that wax insulated wire so if it gets shorted at all thats no good.

From experience with something similar, I went from stock engine and intake to a shaved head, advanced timing and 2:1 intake-no airbox. I had to bump my jets up 3 sizes. It didn't matter on pipes really. The engine can only use so much air/fuel with stock pipes anyway. It will flow more with the K&N, but you're not going to catch your bike on fire. Just rejet it.

KOOLAID!!!! I'm gonna yell that the next time that welfare cheatin bitch that lives down the road comes out in her red maternity shirt/moo moo.

Why are drag pipes usually out of frame?
Cotton eyed Joe replied to 01bansheefox's topic in Drag Forum
Well, the long and the short of it is the pipes and engine configuration have to work together. The pipes are basically the equvillant of the camshaft in a 4 stroke engine. The design is critical in nearly every aspect from the header length to the angle and length of the divergent and convergent cones. Even stinger length is important. Since its easier to tune an engine than it is to redesign and fabricate a set of pipes, generally the engine is tuned to run with a specific set of dynamics for a given pipe. Being that a pipe design is calculated most "drag" pipes will look similar, same with mid range pipes. Some drag pipes are made to run at the very top of the rpm range, so the engine has to be tuned to perform that way with port openings, blow down time etc.... -
Cole, throw down some stats hp/tq numbers n shit on this bike. I'm too lazy to look it up. I don't know much about bikes other than they are 1/2 the weight of a quad and girls can't ride them very well.

WHAT SHALL I DO GO STROKER OR BIG BORE
Cotton eyed Joe replied to wildbansheeboy's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
HP=(TQxRPM)/5252 I've seen some methanol powered ice racers (some sort of oval track) in a magazine a while back that actually had the stroke shortened to get more rpm out of the engine. Torqueless wonders, but I guess they served a purpose. -
HAHA!!! Something like 2 in the pink, 1 in the stink and a rub on the nub.

Something you should all know....
Cotton eyed Joe replied to locogato11283's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Oh man. Not to add anymore to this but I nearly laughed myself to a full on puke. I haven't done that in about 10 years now. Kind of the standard by which hilarity should be judged. Got me real close on this one. -
A good rule to rememeber if you plan on running a business: It takes years to earn a good reputation, And only minutes to destroy it.

Did you happen to catch what a "reverse shocker" is? LMFAO Its called The Punisher.

Just don't let the fish cop find you doing that. I guess they banned people from driving in the water, crossing water, and running their snow mobiles in the water. Don't know why. There aren't any fish in it. Hardly any water fowl. There are some rocks at the bottom that have busted up a few bikes before though.

Huh what? I got Crossfade. Pretty good. Not the whole CD imho, but a few songs. -
Egin Lake? THats the big "lake" you see in the sat photo. But its more like run off from the surrounding farms. I like Egin for its close proximity to everything too. The trails around the lake (if they even let you go there anymore) are fun as shit too. Just look out for on coming bikes.

WHAT SHALL I DO GO STROKER OR BIG BORE
Cotton eyed Joe replied to wildbansheeboy's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Hp is related to torque and rpm, so I'd say go with a stroke before a bore too. -
LMFAO I was gonna mention something about the aliens liking the circular shape. If I was a farmer I'd lay my crops out as dodecahedrons.

Check out Wikipedias definitions of The Shocker. Wikipedia and UrbanDictionary are pretty good for a laugh every now and again.

That could be it. Ever climbed that? Every f**ken step is a jump, and some are kind of mounded like a mini razor back. God there must be 30 of them to the top.
