I want to put one of those on my wife, then randomly bury the wire in the yard. Set her down in the middle of it and let her find her way back into the house. -
Christ theres some frucked up people on this planet. And the shitty thing is, every morning it seems when I turn on the tv, I hear about either another homicide (this morning was a 6 mo old hit by a stray bullet in the head) or another murder, or murder suicide (a woman my wife worked with about 2 months ago shot by her husband in front of her 2 kids). Utah is pretty freakin podunk compared to alot of other states.... I hope you and your sister are able to get shit straight in your heads and put it all behind you.

I was able to put an R6 tail on there because I built the whole frame. It was a bit tricky, but the R6 tail will fit on a regular banshee sub frame if you had mounting tabs. If I do it again I'll do it a bit different. Its a 2002 CBR600F4i I picked up a year ago or so. Hope to get it started before the snow flies.

Speaking of stuff.... Did you ever get those bionic kangaroo leg things going? I remember the post where you said you ordered them, but don't know if you ever took them on a maiden voyage.

Thats shitty to hear man. I'm still looking for a painter for my stuff. I think I know someone, but its a matter of me getting around to it.

Got a few things to get out of the way first. Got my radiator coming, and MarvinShaws coming as soon as I get a quote back. Then I get to mount that plastic permenant and get rid of the masking tape mocking it up to the frame. With the struts its about 3" off the ground in the front, but with it on the lift in that picture you really can't tell. I'll do an update here in a week or so. The hard part is going to fill in the gap between the front and rear plastic. Thinking I'm going to get a piece of 24ga steel and bend it to fit then either Bondo or fiberglass it and finish it smooth. Oh and I'm gonna toss that flucking Fullbore grill. I hate that thing. The quality honestly is garbage. I got one on the cad that is going to work out just fine.

Dunno if this will help, but this is what the new blue looks like.... http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/5677/00000281ej.jpg Its a bit lighter than what the pictures shows. I had someone describe it as Meridian Blue, or some sort of medium blue color.....

Cool mang! Thats good to have. Does Sand Mountain have something similar?

Travis, did you mention that you are running drag tires, much akin to those run on a JR Dragster? He might have thought you wanted to take a fu9ckin Polaris Utility quad or some old school Big Red 3 wheeler down the track or something. Ya never know. I had to explain the concept of a drag bike to someone at my shop not too long ago that couldn't figure out "why in the world" I'd want to do something like that.

Thats pretty flowered up. I've asked my ol lady 230942098 times to help me out, and thus far she cleaned an air filter once, I reoiled it and put it back on the damn bike. I was going to have her put her own main jets in after we tossed the stock airbox, but you can guess who did that. Apparently gas stinks real bad. She did sit on my project bike at the shop on saturday while I was working. That was nice. She says when she gets another Banshee (hopefully next year) that "I get to help her with it." At least it will be another toy in the toybox. Get some pictures of you assembling it. I'd like to show someone inparticular.

My dad had a hearse when I was a young lad. I can't remember why he sold it. Kinda wish he would have kept it.

Travis, thanks for the words! He's truckin along now. PT 2 times per day at his house. Blaine, No, we didn't keep the sawn off knee parts....I'm sure they weren't of much use. I guess I could have given it to my chocolate lab to gnaw on.... And yes...the jungle juice thing... I didn't put this in my post from a couple days ago, but when my dad was wheeled in from recovery into his room, they emptied that damn collection bag 4-5 times. About every 45 minutes....the first time I about f7uckin puked..... It was over a QUART...and they pour it into this open beaker looking thing and it sat there for a few minutes while they put the drain bag back on.....I was lurching pretty good....My older sister was already having issues from the "hospital smell". I guess she gets all woozy and naseated and has to sit down for a while.... then they have the damn bucket of chum sloshing around the room while we're all trying to bullshit and keep my dad company..... BLAH! -
What compression is everyone running?
Cotton eyed Joe replied to Toomey Banshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
155 PSI stock stroke, stock bore, head shaved "as far as it will go" according to the engine builder that shaved and rechambered it, and a mild port. -
And with a good hacksaw, you will go through that frame in anywhere from 10-20 seconds. Stock Yamaha frames are made from old Hudsons, and Studebakers.

Have you seen the new R6's?? I was reading in Cycle World that the red line is 17,500 rpm, and the magazine thinks that will put the crank HP at 140+.... How efficient is the drive train on these bikes? Would that put 115 to the rear wheel? Just curious. I'll be keeping my eyes open for one of these new engines in about 6 months..... -
I give that 3 and about 7 I love the sun too. Goes great with the sand.

Shit...I'm sure you know about them if you're doing any type of wrenching on a ghetto bird/life flight helicopter.... I'd trust you over some nasa scientist. At least YOU are flying in the contraption you are working on, not sitting behind a desk with a tie and a cup of coffee saying "That shouldn't have happened....."

I'm not a huge Carlin fan, but this seems to hit the nail on the head and then some.

I was gonna update this actually.... He went to the hospital on tuesday at 11am, they wheeled him into surgery around 1:30-2:00pm, and I was at the hospital with my entire immediate family at 4pm when they wheeled him into his room from recovery. The whole operation took around 1.5hrs! I found a site online that went through the steps of this operation, and to be honest I'm really impressed with how its done. Well, he was groggy as hell, had a spinal tap and couldn't piss, etc etc...We stayed for around 4 hours and left that night, and he was practically smashing his morphine button every 30 seconds. He couldn't remember that is was locked out to every 10 minutes. The next morning he walked 18 feet for his first round of physical therapy. He said it was so painful he felt like passing out. After he did the 18 feet, it didn't really hurt that bad until he did a new movement. Then it was the same thing. It hurt like hell, then didn't. He was supposed to come home friday at 4pm, and he came home TODAY at noon! The doctor said he will be truckin around pretty good in 2 weeks, and should be able to come up here to the shop in about 4-6 weeks. He can't do any real work for a couple of months, but it won't be quite as bad as we were told it could be in the beginning. I'm still up to my ass in work, but I'm only pulling 12 hour days. His knee is a little swollen, but it isn't that bad compared to his good knee. He did have that device on his leg to keep it moving, and the therapists are coming to his house tonight to help him and my mom set one up. Then he has his scheduled PT a couple times per week for the next little while. For being a surgery that intrusive, that intense, its amazing to see what can be achieved. The part that kind of sucks is I read in a magazine about 2 months ago that there is a gene therapy being tested by the FDA right now for his type of ailment. Its an injection that will make your body grow new cartilliage in the knee, so a knee replacement won't be needed in some cases. Its about 5 years away though. Oh well. He did say the only pain he has now is the muscle pain from the surgery. His knee doesn't hurt at all. Thats the part I'm really happy about. He was limping around the shop this last month like an LA gang member.
