  1. Wouldn't that be 0 degrees Kelvin? 0 degrees Celcius is 32 degrees F.
  2. Holy shit you're going to be busy....... I'm a machinist. I own a machine shop with my parents. I make parts for everything from parts for F-16's, missile silos, food processing, bottling plants, to tool and die machines and parts for extrusion machines, parts for roller coasters (almost every amusement park in the world has some of my parts somewhere in them) and recently started making parts for the Yamaha Banshee, and soon other atv's. (as a few of you might know) You name it and over the last 28 years me or my dad has done it. We don't do as much for bigger names than we used to, and we are still a 2 man shop, but we're focusing on different areas now. Mostly we're working on creating and marketing our own products. We've done it in the past, and it makes for great work, and it gives us more control over how much work we get, when we get it, and what we get paid to make it. Kind of takes the stress in some areas and puts it in others....hehe.......
  3. Thanks for the quick replys guys..... I'll see what I can do.... Heres' what I have done so far today. Way back in the day, about 3 years ago I made custom rims for the T-Maxx...long story short, my distributor stole about 10 of my personal designs and cut me out completely. Since then, I've wondered what the hell I'm going to do with the 100hrs+ of CAD time I had in these designs. Well today I tried scaling one of my designs into a 10" rim, actually into about a 9" diameter to leave a little more material around the outside of the rim, and the damn thing fit in there perfectly. I took a few hours and trasferred about 10 different designs into a "master" rim. All I have to do now is get the cash, the proper tooling and jigs, and the balls to cut a set. I'll keep you all posted I guess!!!! Oh, and thanks for the Jr. Dragster idea....they are big out here, and my inlaws do quite a bit of work on Jr. Dragster engines as well as real dragster engines.
  4. Billet just means it was made out of one piece, and not cast. The stock one is cast, and you can polish it. There is a post here by Meat_Head that explains how to polish cylinders, and you can apply the same ideas to the clutch cover. I did mine mostly by hand (the sanding anyway) and the polished it with my wheels. The best way is with wheels and felt bobs so you can really get into the tight spots.
  5. I'm not heavy into the drag racing scene yet, but I have a chance to offer custom cut front drag rims (10 x 2). My question is, are these a popular item, or is it something that only appeals to a select few? My main concern is buying a set of blanks, cut them, and then find out that they aren't that big of a seller and most people just run a Douglas rim or something and I'm stuck with them. If they are an item that most drag racers use, I'm pretty sure I can beat the price I was quoted from a couple of places for a design cut rim. Another question is are there any saftey specs called out by any racing association? Such as thickness of spokes etc? Thanks.
  6. I got my stock a arms off of eBay for about $110 shipped. The upper left a-arm was tweaked just a little, so I had to make a jig on my welding table, break out the Porta-Power and my Ford Wrench and give it a loveing tap and it went right back to where it needed to be. I think we had 4 tons on it with the porta power, and I didn't wind up to hit it, I just kind of bumped it to shock it a little. It didn't even crack the chrome. I think the key to eBay is choose to buy from someone with a high rating. The guy I bought from had a rating of over 100 sells, and a 98% positive.
  7. Dickey Roberts..... It was like the movie rolled one of those Dungeon and Dragons 21 sided dice, and it came up +20 GHEY.
  8. I hate hearing it, but those people must just have had their business handed to them or something. I'm beating myself to death day after day to not stay on top but to even think about getting to the top, and the last thing I would do is tell one of my customers to "take their business else where" If I can't do something I'll let them know before I get one penny of their hard earned money. This business is a competitive one, and your product is but one facet of it. Customer service is sometimes even MORE important than the product you are selling. lol I've said it over and over, people like to be treated like people, not like shit.
  9. I have new swingarms in stock, plus I have carriers and carrier tubes if you want to convert your stock Yamaha swingarm to a round house type.
  10. Exactly!! I axed about my hot water tank in that same thread and got an answer. I've learned about 90% of what I know about this bike from this site.
  11. Let me amend that by adding worthless piece of shit waste of skin, that is bereft of any talent what so ever that should be lashed to a barge, pushed out into the Atlantic ocean and sank, along with Al Franken. Amen.
  12. Depends on what you are looking for. I personally prefer Rocky Mountain ATV when I'm buying something online. My purchases are typically things like gloves, goggles, tires, handle bars.... What is it you are looking for?
  13. Me and my buddy used to take my sisters blaster, and her friends blaster and chase each other through the trees at camp. It was fun as hell on those things. They like to wheely. The first thing I'd do is get a B-1 pipe, shave the head, fly wheel etc etc, and get rid of that damn oil injection. Then hack off the front and rear fenders. They are fun bikes but I can't ride a stock one. It won't go anywhere with my fat ass on it besides the camp ground.
  14. CB671 or what ever his name is (I can never remember it..... he has a cow girl or something for an avatar, and he powder coats) made some mini choppers and used something called a Torq-A-Verter to get the power from the engine to the rear wheel. You might employ something like this.
  15. AMEN BROOKE!!! I've often seen and heard on the news about "crowds" and "marches" and "protesters" and they show this "crowd" and talk about all of them "protesting" and you know what? Its like 30 people maybe........ How many live in the US? 300 mil or so??? ok, so the news caught 1/10000000 of the population laying down in a street in protest. Where are the others that agree??? They never bother. I don't know a single person (personally) that is against it. The popular radio show here is always trying its damnedest to come up with some "right winged" agenda but it always comes out as a half assed lame attempt. Then the people that believe it if its on the internet come out, and the local callers that agree with what ever it was this guy said, even though he really didn't say anything..... Frusterating. If I was seriously into politics I'd have climbed a bell tower by now with a .50 cal Beowulf.
  16. I run TAG-2 1 1/8 CR-LO fat bars with an adapter. No cross bar, and honestly one hell of a good investment.
  17. Whats even more funny is I see this shit on COPS all the time!!! Looks like it works like a charm, but if it doesn't just pull out the Glock and blast his ass.
  18. And might I add, In no way do I support bush, brazilian all the way LMAO!!!! I wonder if you could make a candle out of the used wax, and if it would stink when you burned it........ That Clinton was a fucken jewel wasn't he? I was actually embarrased for my sister and her husband when he was in office. She couldn't really say anything bad about him, and I just felt horrible thinking this guy was my sisters boss....... He would have tried to stick a whole humidor up her ass if he ever met her I'm sure.....
  19. I was at the dunes once (St.Anthony) when a really young couple, too young to be married in my opinion....18 each..... shows up. He has a CR250, and all of his buddys have them, and we have our banshees, and everything is going to be a fun filled weeked watching these guys do some jumping n shit....when this 18 year old "princess" gets out of the truck bitching....."I DIDN"T KNOW IT WAS GOING TO BE SUCH A LONG DRIVE!!!" blah blah....2.5 hours from Ogden big damned deal,,, then I hear...."THERES SAND EVERYWERE!!!! ITS GETTING ON MY SHOES!!!!!" Then the dreded...."I WANT TO GO HOME!" shit....poor kid never had a chance. I only hope they ended up divorced. Its the only way this kid will ever truly be happy. Yeah she was cute, but I don't think that counts in this situation.
  20. HEY!!! You solveded it for me....... Assuming that not all the semi circular parts of the puzzle aren't the same color, size and location it should be a snap!!!!! If not I guess there are 24 ways to solve it.
  21. I do better with those puzzles you get in Wendys kids meals...the ones with only 4 pieces.
  22. Your answer was better.
  23. "What the hell am I doing?" It's a riddle, whats the answer? That was my answer.
  24. Same here...I adjusted my clutch while the engine was out of the frame some time ago, and I have to hold the front brake to kick it over for the first couple of kicks I would rather have it grab too much than slip at all.
  25. "What the hell am I doing?"
