  1. Hope your wrist is better!!! Good luck. Post your results Bob.
  2. Soak them in what ever you are going to be using in your transmission oil for an hour or so. Some say longer, some say less....
  3. Use a brass punch or drift and tap the outer race from the opposite side. It might take a little to get them out. From the factory they act like they have .002 press. Tap each quadrant a few times, don't just hammer one side then the other. This will help the bearing move out more evenly.
  4. I hope I did this right. Forces is equal to the mass times the acceleration. If one piston doesn't weigh what the other weighs at a low rpm you won't notice. Now spin it REAL REAL FAST!! The force will be significantly different in the other cylinder since the reciprocating mass will have more force than the other. That could be hell on a crank and crank bearings.

  6. After I wrecked, I was more scared than my wife was. In fact while I was in the tent writhing in pain and praying to god that I wasn't going to be pissing blood, she grabbed my buddies banshee and told me to "get back on that horse". I would have slapped her silly if I would have been able to move. I told her I can't walk, how the hell am I going to go ride? She said GO DO IT!!! After the 5th or s6th time she said it I just had to tell her that it hurt too damned bad, and that I could feel every bone, every muscle, and every internal organ I had, and probably a few I didn't have. To live and have regrets means that you've lived. Everybody has done something they wish they wouldn't have done.
  7. Jason, what the hell is a one way?
  8. Nope. I got a flattrack race tonight, and I'll give it 110%, but at the same time I hope I come home in one piece... Placing the blame on the bike is like placing the blame on the car if a kid gets killed racing it. Sure, they could have always done something else, but you know what? My mom is an advid quilter. She had to go to the hospital on night to have the end of her finger sewed back on because she made a mistake and sliced it with a fabric cutter. 10-12 stitches is all, but the point is still the same. A buddy of my families dad was killed changing a light bulb at his job. He was up on the 2nd-3rd rung of a ladder when he lost his footing and fell. Knocked his head on the pavement and that was it. It just happened. Whether its the right place wrong time, whatever, you cant really control what is going to happen to you. My father in law has drag raced rails (Super Eliminator) for a good 25-30 years, and never once had an accident, or even a mild injury. A woman out here got killed in her rail 2 years ago because of the events that unfolded, but also because of chance. There was a gap in her roll cage that allowed her helmet to pass through just enough (only a few inches) that when she rolled, she smacked the pavement. No one here had ever done that, so how was anyone supposed to know that it could happen. She also had much less time in the cockpit than my father in law. Everything in life has a law of averages. You can take calculated risks, or just blindly throw caution to the wind and let what ever happens happen. I take calcualted risks, and I don't ride with reckless abandon, but I lucked out almost 2 years ago when I "lawn darted" at the bottom of a dune and totalled myself and my bike out. Didn't see it drop off, didn't even hit my brakes. I don't blame the sand, my bike, or anyone else. I was the one riding. (As a matter of fact, right now my right knee aches.) I could say "I shouldn't have been riding that day" well, hind sight is always 20/20, and as of yet I can't (or anyone else) see the future. I do what I feel I need to do, I don't take unecessary risks, but if I sit at home and watch tv all day instead of working, riding, and lifting weights, I would eventually die from high cholesteral and obesity. Take care.
  9. I'd make a joke about women drivers because of that, but I think they'd still kill me if they gave me a 3 hour head start.
  10. That sounds more like a bad joke about my grandma than lawn implements.
  11. Holy shit those are some serious injurys! Tell him I hope he gets well soon. Stan.
  12. I know a guy that used to live at Lake Powell in the summer months and when he was a kid he would catch scorpions with his friends and have the carboard box/terrarium death matches to pass the time. I've tried it with Praying Manti VS grasshoppers, but the Manti need to be hungry first. Oh and it helps to have a lid on the jar.
  13. Funk Master S. Valentine Pimp Daddy Stan Trump and............... Sticky Fingers S. Ice
  14. What do one of those run price wise?? I think a buddy of mine from the gym is planning on getting a few and having me put some shine on them.... Now that I've googled a picture, there was one of these for sale down the street from my shop tricked out last summer for $1,700 Well tricked out as I could tell.
  15. Thats what I was thinkin...... The owners manual is buried around here somewheres...and I"m too lazy to go look for it at the moment.
  16. I have .16 acres of mostly crab grass and dandelions. I use a Craftsman 6.5 hp mower with a dull blade and a clogged air filter to mow it 3-4 times per year.
  17. I agree man. Cause and effect. Plus the guy had a gun, so backing off isn't an issue. What if he would have stopped at Stealthawd's house instead of passing by?? It happened here yesterday morning. The guy actually got away from the cops twice within 4 hours, and now hes' running around town armed, and no one knows his where abouts. Got the hollow points in the magnum tonight.
  18. Honestly its the womans fault. She should have looked out for more emergency vehicles. Here there are always 2 or even 3 or 4 after one another when there is an accident on the freeway or they are chasing a guy that murdered his wife and was driving to her dads house to kill him, past my house at 4am. (this happened 2 months ago) Its a sad sad lesson to learn. Hope your trauma heals soon.
  19. You should take the carb off, take the bowl off, and then maybe even take the float assembly off and clean it. A spec of DUST will cause the floats to stick open.
  20. My dad has some that he "got" from Hill Air Force Base back in the 70's. He didn't think you could even buy them anymore, but I think RMATV has them. JR Graham or someone else has them too.
  21. Right on bignasty! I just saw the video/heard the song for the first time tonight on the Rockzilla show (on FUSE). My jaw dropped when I saw it was made up of: Scott Weiland, Slash Duff McKagen, Matt Sorum. and Dave Kushner from Suicidal Tendencies! Manson DOES put a good show... pushes the limits in some areas, but that's what he's there for, and that's why we go see him. Almost as good as a Zombie show... Rob Zombie knows how to spend his tour budget... anyone seen his set about 4 years ago when he had ZombieTown (with the skull in the middle and spotlights for eyes), fire flaming out of oil drums, and of course Zombie's dancing girls. Doesn't get much better than a Zombie show if you're a metalhead. I saw WhiteZombie twice, and it WAS one of the best shows ever. Sean Yesult got nailed in the face with a shoe.
  22. I have carriers in stock, and swingarms components waiting to be welded together. I can fab any length.
  23. hhm...couldn't find any decent pics of Clay Aiken to put in this, I'll work on it more later.
  24. Then you wouldn't be going the forced induction route.
  25. Ive seen anywhere from -2 to -4.5" Anything shorter than about -2 (maybe-2.5) you will need to relocate your shock mounts and start working with frame geometry as far as your shock mount positions are concerned.
